Level up your gaming, with the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D. This processor is optimised for mid-range gaming. With Zen 4 architecture and 3D V-Cache, the Ryzen 7 7800X3D is unlike any desktop processor in terms of performance. Utilising an innovative 5nm process, the die size has been reduced by 18% whilst IPC uplifts by roughly 13%. This model is the mid-range edition, with 8 cores, 16 threads, and SMT technology. Built for AM5 sockets, this processor supports DDR5, PCIe 5.0, and is future-proofed for upcoming advancements. Expect great things from this CPU.
As a mid-range CPU from the new AMD Ryzen 7000 Series, the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D delivers on gaming performance. Boasting eight cores and sixteen threads, this processor utilises SMT (simultaneous multithreading technology) to optimise performance during gaming workloads. Base frequencies for this processor are 4.2GHz but, as the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D is unlocked for overclocking, this can be boosted up to 5.0GHz with the use of Precision Boost 2 or Precision Boost Overdrive.
Overall, this generation of Ryzen processors has an incredible uplift in performance and IPC (instructions per cycle). Game with smooth frame rates, stream in high definition, and create content flawlessly. The maximum 120W TDP delivers premium performance, enabling you to get the most out of this processor.
3D V-Cache is an innovative cache system that allows the AMD Ryzen 7000X3D models to deliver incredible efficiency. The CPU’s cache memory is 3D stacked, which facilitates higher capacities and more simultaneous access to the data stored. The AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D has a total 106MB cache, which is intelligently split into L1, L2, and L3 tiers.
With this generation of processors comes a new architecture. Evolving the highly performative Zen 3, the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPU utilises the innovative Zen 4 architecture. The new front-end design is paired with machine learning, enabling a better focus on core performance. Large frequency fluctuations are avoided thanks to the 256-bit data width, which also speeds up language and image processing.
Constantly innovating, AMD has integrated fourth-generation FinFET technology creating the world’s first 5mn consumer CPU. Overall, the processor is smaller, faster, and has lower power transistors to optimise performance. Whilst the die is 18% smaller, new features have been integrated that not only enable great functionality, but improve the energy efficiency of the processor. At the same power output, there is up to 49% more performance than seen in the previous architecture.
A key feature of the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D is how future-proofed the platform has been made. Starting with the new socket, AM5. AMD wants this to be the platform that grows with you, supporting upcoming technological advances and industry standards.
For memory, AM5 compatible with DDR5 RAM modules, ideally supporting speeds between 5200 and 6000MHz. Additionally, a memory overclocking program has been developed specifically for the AMD Ryzen 7000 Series and DDR5, called AMD EXPO. This will offer optimised, on-click overclocking that can enhance 1080p gaming by 11% and reduce latency by up to 63ns.
The other future-proof feature is PCIe support. The AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D is equipped with PCIe 5.0, for both graphics cards and storage. Enjoy ultra-fast connectivity on all your PCIe devices.

The AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPU has integrated Radeon RDNA 2 graphics, built on an all-new I/O die in 6nm with advanced low-power Navi 2 architecture. This die operates with better efficiency than previous models, thanks to a low power draw when idle or under medium loads.
To operate an AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPU, a motherboard equipped with an AM5 1718 LGA socket is essential. The compatible chipsets are:
To optimise compatibility, AMD Ryzen 7000 Series CPUs can be equipped with either an AM4 AIO or air CPU coolers or AM5 AIO or air CPU coolers. No cooler is included within the scope of delivery.
The AMD Rzyen 7 7800X3D CPU is great for gaming and creative workflows. The eight cores and sixteen threads are equipped with SMT technology to effortlessly handle complex processes. What’s more, the Zen 4 architecture is packed with features that will optimise your performance.
AMD 3D V-Cache is an innovative 3D stacked cache system, that allows for greater capacities and simultaneous access to information.
The AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPU has 8 cores and 16 threads.
The AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPU is compatible with the AMD AM5 socket. This AMD socket uses a land grid array (LGA) rather than a pin grad array (PGA), so there is no cross compatibility with AMD AM4 sockets. However, the outer socket shape has been designed so that your AM4 coolers will remain compatible.
The AMD Ryzen 7000 Series supports DDR5 RAM, this includes the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D. The recommended memory speeds are between 5200MHz and 6000MHz.

Gaming beast, much else to say?
great mother board, only issue shipped with old bios. You will have to manually update. Gigabyte Bios puts a pink line down a center of any 4k screen larger than 32 inches (only in bios though), so do not freak out. But it is an amazing board when updated.
First new CPU in 15 years, amazingly fast, doesnt run above 75 even with CP2077 ultra settings.
