Within our busy sales team a vacancy has arisen for a shop assistant / telephone sales advisor. Customer Service will be Integral to your role and you will ideally come from a sales and/or customer service background, however individuals that show flair in this area will be considered and training provided. A strong knowledge of computer hardware is essential to succeed and progress with in this role.
- Offering pre-sales advise
- Taking orders from shop customers
- Taking telephone orders from customers
- Solving customer service issues
- Liaising with the warehouse team
- Responding to customer webnotes
- Responding to customer emails
- Dealing with customer quotations
- Opening and closing the shop
To succeed in this role you will have strong written and verbal communication skills and have a helpful, friendly attitude as well as;
- Some previous sales experience an advantage but not necessary
- Sound knowledge of current hardware
- A good telephone manner and strong written communication skills
- Smart appearance
- Minimum of 5 GCSE (or equivalent) including English Language at grade C or above
- IT Qualifications would be advantageous to your application but are not essential

Average working hours are approximately 45 hours per week, plus any additional overtime required. Working hours for this role will consist of the following:
Monday-Friday (8:30am-5:30pm)
Alternate Saturdays (9:00am-5:00pm)
As part of our growth plans, we are looking for an additional person to join our marketing team.
- Production of online media such as banners, landing pages, email marketing, etc
- Production of print advertisements
- Support production of other print related collateral
- Filming and editing of promotional video material
- Writing daily news and forum posts
- Support local Marketing for the Overclockers UK Showroom
- Support the planning of major events like Gadget Show Live or iSeries
- Support implementation of PR activities
- Support the running of competitions
- Skilled in photography for product shots
- Skilled in Photoshop and Illustrator
- Working knowledge of Adobe Premier and After Effects
- Basic HTML / CSS
- Working knowledge of the print process
- Interest/experience in computer hardware
- Good people skills
- Works well under pressure
- Knowledge of Flash is desirable but not essential
- Social media marketing experience is desirable but not essential

Average working hours are approximately 42 hours per week, plus any additional overtime required.
Working days for this role will consist of the following:
Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm plus weekends as required for events, etc.

This role demands and excellent understand of hardware and current technology
- Management of product groups including purchasing, pricing, reporting & stock control
- Negotiating deals with manufacturers
- Maintaining and developing relationships with manufacturers
- Liaising with the design & marketing team to execute product promotions
The ideal candidate will have an excellent understanding of hardware and will have strong communication, particularly, negotiating skills. as well as;
