RadiatorsA Radiator is just as important to a water cooling system as the water block itself, as the Radiator is required to take the heat which was transferred from the block to the liquid and as a result, lower the temperature of the water. This is done by presenting a large surface area, which can use the fairly inefficient medium air to transfer the heat from the liquid to the surrounding cool air. When installing a radiator within a chassis, it should be placed in the air draft created by fans. Due to the ability to run such fans at 5 or 7 Volts instead of 12, which results in a near silent operation. We suggest the use of the largest possible radiator within a chassis, as the radiator is the key factor in determining the performance of the entire water cooling setup. Larger radiators also have the benefit of delivering higher performance, while requiring lower rotating fans, thus creating less noise.
