Watercooled Graphics CardsGraphic cards are without a doubt one of the hottest parts within a gaming system. The use of up to three fans to cool these is becoming the norm to transport the hot air away from the cooling fins as quickly as possible. This also contributes to a rise in overall system temperature as the surrounding air is also heated up in the process. A much more efficient approach are water cooled graphic cards. the heat can be transported away from the source through the copper block to a radiator, which is usually placed in the ceiling of a case. This keeps the air within the case as cool as possible, but also ensures that the graphic card stays much cooler, extending the life of the component and allowing for higher overclocks.
