Decent caseI looked around for some time for a case that would help silence an already quiet 2700K system and was not too heavy. The 550D met these requirements. I don't overclock and my temps are lower than they were in the Nexus Prominent 5 case that previously held my hardware. Building in it is fine with one or two niggles: I had to break off an easy-install 5.25 lock mechanism because it would not hold my fan controller firmly (and had to use screws instead); the Corsair AX850 psu screw holes did not properly align with the holes in the 550D (but can be bodged); the door needs too much effort to open. But the case has reduced what noise existed before and it's build quality is pretty good. It was nice to have plenty of room for cables. Overall, I'm happy with the case.25/01/2013

OutstandingIf you're after a quiet case for a gaming rig, then look no further. It's a joy to work on and really delivers on the silent front!
It's obvious that a lot of thought has gone into the design from an aesthetic and building perspective. The hdd cages are fantastic (although I'd recommend losing the top one to improve airflow). Also loving the idea of the extra pci bay (great for fan controllers etc).
If I was being picky, I'd like to see a bit more space at the top for thicker rads (my H100 fits perfectly) and even an extra 5mm on the other side of the mobo for cable storage (modular psu recommended). Although the door can open either way, it's quite stiff so I recommended picking a direction and removing a hinge on the opposite side (makes it much easier to open).
The stock fans are fine, but I replaced them with a combination of 120mm Apaches and 140mm Zaward Golf IIIs (quieter and shift more air).
5* for looks
5* for build quality
4.5* for features

    LOVE IT!Kit inside!
Asus Rampage IV Formula x79 ATX
    Corsair H100
    etc etc

Restricted to ATX size max is a bit of a problem. With a slight change it could take E-ATX. But regardless its a great size and looking case. Feels strong and quality. Waited for this case to be just the right price. Good old ocuk dropped the price on a load of corsair kit for ivybridge, i nabbed the case!5 User found this Review usefullhelpful Review? Yes
