GreatVery fast cpu, handles gaming, multi-tasking etc easy and never seems to strain itself like some intel ones ive had. Now i just need to figure out how to get a stable overclock of over 4.3ghz even though it realy doesnt need it.09/08/2012

FantasticGot this the other day and have been pleasantly surprised, all the reviews would have you believe this CPU is a pile of dung when in fact its not, its the opposite.
Paired with an Asus Crosshair V Formula 990FX, 16GB of Corsair Dominator GT 2133MHZ, a 240GB Corsair Force GT SSD and 2 x Asus 6970 2GB's in Crossfire X.
Would recommend to anyone wanting a top end AMD system.
And as usual great service from OCUK :)

WOW!!I'm absolutly amazed by this cpu. Its is super quick out of the box and incredible value for money.

Water-cooled, idle temp is 35 degrees C and when stressed with Prime95, 2 games console emulators, playing 1080p video, vmware, amiga forever and a directx 9 game... all active at the same time btw... max temp went no higher than 65 degrees C.

Obviously performace dropped alot... but I was expected this cpu to fallover straight away. It didn't. It soldiered on like a pro!

Again, very impressed. Great performance for a great price.

can't fault itit took skyrim, dawnguard, hearthfire and 103 mods running all at once to get this thing to flinch [and thats without any overclock whatsoever]. beleive the hype and 'benchmarks' [insert sarcastic tone of voice there] if you like but in my opinion the only reason not to buy this processor is the new piledriver version. when it comes to epic levels of processing for not a lot of money, you wont go wrong with this.76 User found this Review usefullHelpful Review? Tip-TopI had a problem like Mr Sadler, struggled over 4.3 Ghz Then I increased the voltage a little and hey-presto. Run at 4.8 ghz no sweat but settled on 4.6ghz to keep the temps nice.
Highly recommended CPU... go for it.75 User found this Review usefullHelpful Review? Yes

BrillWOW what a chip, have to say I upgraded from the 1090T to this and it does make a difference runs really sweat, got the temp running at 34c with two games running with no overclock so now I will try to run it at 4.3 with my coolmaster v6 GT fan cooler, well worth the money thx oc72 User found this Review usefullHelpful Review? Great chip dont believe the intel hypeHad this chip for nearly a year now and I have to say its great. If you look at some of the more balanced reviews on the net, you can see its actually pretty good!

Just stability testing at 4.95Ghz 1.437Vcore at the moment so read into that what you will.72 User found this Review usefullHelpful Review? Yes

Works For MeWell I for one couldn't be happier. The 8150 installed with a bios upgrade onto my Asus Crosshair IV Formula mobo and blew my socks off. I went from a Phenom II 1100T to the 8150 BE and made the mistake of listening to all the gossip and it was all wrong. Single core performance is better than the 1100T and that played all games with no problem. Multi core is terrific. I do lots of virtualisation with VMWare workstation and it eats it up. I have a watercooled rig so temp isn't an issue and i dialed down the overclock to 4.5GHz from 4.8GHz. This CPU is a great upgrade or even new CPU. I got next gen performance for less than 200. As usual OCuk were amazing and the delivery was next day. Well done guys.62 User found this Review usefullHelpful Review? Yes
