“Outstanding Upgraded from my AMD Phenom Quadcore, i do not believe there is any point in having a hex core unless games require it.
Anyway, this chip is unstoppable, Every game i've played its so smooth, i still only have a dx10 card and i get no lagg in any new game at all full at 1080p, it's just so much smoother and well worth £100 for it to be honest. i think if AMD did bring out Processors to match Intel's price, we'd see 12cores at 4.5Ghz.
I have mine overclocked to 4.5ghz, and its stable, i've had no problem.
5/5. The reason that when i play the games like battlefield, MW3 and GTA IV, they are smoother than ever.29/01/2012“
“Excellent Value!!The first time I have really bothered overclocking is after buying this chip. Can't believe its stability even when ramped up to 4.6ghz 1.512 volts on an Asus USB3 motherboard and 16gb corsair Vengeance Ram. With a xigmatech tower cooler I am 40.5 degrees C cooling on the CPU. Might be able to push the chip further but can't be bothered as Games like Crysis 2, Metro 2033 are running on ultra settings smoothly. Fantastic bang for buck chip with no competition at its price :-)04/02/2012“

GOOD BUYgreat processor best ive had, dont believe people when they say these processors are faildozers because thats not true, imo this is the best quad core on the market for the price and preformance. i got it overclocked to 4.10ghz using a asus m5a99x evo... so easy to overclock with that board to as it does it automatically for you.
and thats on stock cooler too.
FAILDOZER.... NO WAY IS THIS A FAIL.
intel beware the bulldozer is paving you out!!!
AMD = FTW
also excellent service from overclockersuk and dpd courier friendly people!!!16 User found this Review usefullhelpful Review? Yes

Fast, Cool Performer - Just Ditch The StIgnore the reviews slating this CPU architecture. I bought this for a cheap gaming rig, and am impressed with the performance. Straight out the box, I ramped the multiplier up to 21 for a 4.2Ghz clockspeed and it was stable - Didn't even need a voltage bump. My only complaint is the whiney stock cooler - It's sound is irritating as I pushed the OC, so I fitted an aftermarket Zalman cooler.
I then moved the multiplier to 23 to get 4.6Ghz, and again dead stable and no voltage bump. That was about as far as it would go. Trying 23.5 x 200 for 4.7Ghz BSOD, regardless of voltage or lower multiplier in favour of higher bus speed.
Games I play (Like Dirt 3) feel smoother, as the minimum FPS has increased over my old Phenom quad core (I'm using the same pair of 6870's in CF).
Runs idle at 32C, Max load is 42-46C (At 4.6Ghz).16 User found this Review usefullhelpful Review? Yes

Good BuyAMD regains the value option with 4100 FX and for those with a very limited budget it makes a reasoned and rational choice.
Firstly, it is cheaper then the alternative 2120, but offers an extra 3%-5% on average for performance.
Secondly, you're not paying for wasted GPU silicon on the CPU when you've got a proper graphics cards for gaming!
Thirdly, unlike the 2120 this CPU can be overclocked up to 4.6 GHz (4 GHz without voltage increases). An easy gain of 27% in performance, which puts it ahead of 980B, which costs an extra 60% over the 4100 price!
Fourthly, Windows 8 2012 release will see an extra 2%-10% gain in performance through more even threading between cores of workloads. This CPU family architecture is specifically designed for servers which have software with even spreads of workloads for the available cores. Desktop PC's tend to have a lot of software that pile workloads unevenly onto cores. Microsoft and AMD are working together to ensure the new OS has more equal loadings, which is where this extra performance will come from.
Mine's is running 4.2 GHz with no problems. No problems with video games with my Asus motherboard. However, I don't use Steam (I do have an account) and GameStop (formally Stardock Impulse) has not shown any of these problems.
A good value choice during these hard times!15 User found this Review usefullhelpful Review? Yes

sweetgot this today along with a asus 9 series mobo , decided on this chip rather than a phenom II quad in same price bracket due to the higher clock speed and biger total cach size, runs nice and overclocks well" currently got it @ 4.4Ghz cooled with corsair H60.
selected core unlocker in bios but no option to unlock 5th & 6th core just 3rd & 4th but selecting core unlocker it did change to fx-4110 in cpuz , not sure what thats all about! overall a very good cpu with bang for your bucks over some of the phenom cpu"s that cost moor with less cach,, got a phenom 1090T in my other pc and cant notice any differnce really FX -Zambeeeeeeeeeeezi!!!14 User found this Review usefullhelpful Review?
