Nice Chip!Great chip! Been worrying about the "heating" issues and that it is impossible to get 5Ghz.
It is possible and stable (if you have good enough cooling)

Amazing!I bought one of these after using my friends PC which has this Processor as I was blown away! Intel really did well with this processor. Overclockers also were amazing with delivery. Will definitely buy from them again! Hoping to overclock to 4.5 Ghz with the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Rev 2! Then I'm gonna have one beast of a rig! Thanks again to Overclockers and Intel! ***** stars!13 User found this Review usefullhelpful Review? Yes

Don't let the heat put you off, she's smBlistering fast at stock, no real need to overclock. Have had this processor since near after release, no hiccups of any sort

Have this beast in a P8Z77-V Pro, under an Alpenfohn k2 with arctic silver 5 as of last night. Just got it stable at 4.6GHz v1.32 (SandyBridge 5GHz v1.4 equivalent) OCCT Linpack temps revealed 80 on the highest core, averaging at 70 on 2 cores, and 56 on one core (one hell of a cool core eh?)

That really isn't that hot, especially for the performance, its immense! Don't let it scare you, just get a nice big cooler to sit on it ;)12 User found this Review usefullhelpful Review? Yes

An awesome processor for an awesome pricI recently purchased this processor for my first build and the results are amazing! The processor handles single threaded applications at amazing speed and hardly brakes a sweat when it comes to complex multi-threaded apps. I use my rig for full in AAA game development and I can run all of my 3D applications perfectly.

I highly recommend this processor! Good work intel!12 User found this Review usefullhelpful Review? Yes

Power houseThis thing is quite simply insane, i bought this CPU to replace my AMD Phenom II 955BE and with that in skyrim on whiterun looking down on the town from the steps i got 17FPS high settings with my 5850, with theis CPU and the same GPU this time with settings on Ultra i get 54FPS on the same spot!!!.

Its an absolute beast of a CPU, it eats at anything i throw at it. Also im currently in the process of upgrading my GPU (ordered the 670 Windforce) and im currently using the onboard Graphics and currently playing Orcs must die 2 and it happily handles that on low quality at 1080p. it can also keep a solid 30fps+ on fifa 12 mid settings with AA off at 1080p.

This is a must for all things gaming it truly is the best thing about my PC at the moment. Im so glad i jumped ship to intel they seem to have their head screwed on tight when it comes to making powerfull efficient CPU's. 10 Star product.10 User found this Review usefullhelpful Review? Yes

Great!Awesome little processor no issues with heat so far! Running far cooler then my old q9550 was :) not going over 55 degrees underload (stock cooler not OC'd). Great for gaming, and normal computing tasks! I would also be aware of checking if your bios needs an upgrade before you purchase! z68 boards generally Z77 boards will already be compatible via bios.8 User found this Review usefullhelpful Review? BAD ass CPUPurchased this last week with a Gigabyte Z77 board and 8GB of vengeance DDR3.
It is stable running at 4.2GHZ with an Alpenföhn Sella CPU Cooler.
Its the best CPU I have ever owned!8 User found this Review usefullhelpful Review? Yes

Great processorI fist had a first gen i5 2.6GHz in my last computer and I got this along with a Z77 motherboard.

There is no real difference in terms of speed or FPS in games but it does run 10C cooler in almost the same setup and can handle all the games I throw at it easily. This processor pwns games like battlefield 3.7 User found this Review usefullhelpful Review? Yes

Excellent CPUBrought this last week along with an entire system,
Overall a very good CPU, however to fully unlock its potential I recommend a 3rd party cooler, this CPU over-clocks greatly with the correct set-up, mine is currently stable at 4.40Ghz on low voltage!7 User found this Review usefullhelpful Review? Yes

A Real GemUnless you are upgrading from say a 2500k, this cpu is worth every bit as much as it costs! Upgraded to this from an AMD 965 BE OC'd to 3.9 Ghz. Running the i5 on a Gigabyte Z77 board that cost £78, at 4.4Ghz using a Corsair H60 to keep it cool! Went from 30 fps with low/mid settings to about 50fps on high-ultra settings in Guildwars 2, a game infamous for been heavy on CPUs! A must buy for a gamer looking to upgrade UNLESS they already have a Sandybridge CPU already.7 User found this Review usefullhelpful Review? Yes
