  Amazing Drive !!I have two vortex 3,one failed from out the box,RMA on monday,tested,replaced back in PC by wednesday,firstly tech help and services are the best your'll find ANYWHERE!,Read & Writes 550/500 all day long (ATTO only) please test once,testing all the time will result in write times lowering ,you need time for the drive to recover with trim,basically leave alone and play,best drive to date !!   Very FastUsing it as an OS drive on SATA III (6gb/s) and its not missed a beat yet. Windows loads up so much quicker than HDD even with 7 Start up programs (which is alot for me), programs open so much faster you will defonatly notice the difference. Scored (the highest) 7.9 rating in Windows Experience Index.
  
  Only downside is the price:
  Vertex 3 = £1.58 per/gb
  My old W.D. Caviar Black = £0.08 per/gb
  
  And if you've been reading the bad reviews on different forums like I did then don't take any notice and buy one!!! You will fall in love with it!!!
  
  Overall I am very impressed with the Vertex 3 but would recommend to use a separate drive for media etc.6 User found this Review usefullhelpful Review? Yes

  Insanely performant SSDWhen I heard about these new Vertex 3 drives and read some reviews on their performance on an SATA-6Gbps interface, I was immediately interested in one. Despite having an OCZ Vertex 2E 120GB SSD, I decided to sell that one on eBay and get myself an OCZ Vertex 3 120GB SSD to replace it.
  
  Just received it today (as usual, amazing service by Overclockers UK) and wow, it's noticeably faster than my previous SSD and that says a lot...!!
  I've got Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit installed on it with TRIM enabled on AHCI mode so performance is astounding. Best of all, the new SandForce controller isn't meant to degrade performance with TRIM so it makes this SSD insanely performant throughout.
  
  120GB is more than enough for me as it stores my OS, all my software and quite a few games and I still have about 40GB free. I cannot fault this SSD, at all - buy one now!! :)5 User found this Review usefullhelpful Review? Yes

  GET ONE!I have always been sceptical about the performance gains of an SSD. After reading reviews and hearing how good they were I decided to get my hands on the OCZ Vertex 3 and see what all the hype was about. After even just putting the SSD in my pc I immediately noticed a difference! Windows 7 installed like lighting and now starts up, shuts down and performs better and faster than before (win7 and programs were previously installed on a Samsung SpinPoint F3 1TB). I definitely recommend this to anyone and it is definitely worth the £250! As price goes I would say it’s a cheap upgrade for your PC as the speed boost and performance gain you receive is amazing! It’s the best upgrade I have ever had!

  Not BadBought two of these to raid them up to raid 0 to get the advertised throughput on a Marvell 9128 SATA Controller – SATA III, no good at all it decreased the throughput by half, I was then advised by OC to purchase a Highpoint RocketRAID 620 SATA 6Gb/s Raid Controller Card - PCI-E, so let see what performance I get. Make sure you update your firmware to v2.13 download a bootable Linux OS which will do this for you.5 User found this Review usefullhelpful Review? Yes

  Impressiveafter waiting a long time to buy a SSD drive (sceptic) i decided to put one of these in a new build. Compared to standard drives it is on a different level i would advise one of these (and do) to anybody thinking of going down the ssd route.

  Best SSDThis is a very fast SSD.
  
  Had it from when it first came out. Had some firmware problems at the start but with updates all ok now.
  
  OCZ saying max write 500mpbs and read 550mbps but this is not true. I get 515mbps write and 560mbps read and getting faster with every update.5 User found this Review usefullhelpful Review? Yes
