problematicI have the USB 3.0 version, initially seemed great, can write at 130MB/S and no problem speed wise reading it was a similar speed to my internal drives.
I had trouble transferring large files, any single files over 5GB the transfer with stop and hang my machine.
The drive would also constantly disconnect itself from my PC and then reconnect.
Because the drive is 3TB 32bit versions of windows will have trouble with the drive, this drive is set up with 4KB sectors, windows used 512 bytes as default, this makes it very difficult to set up windows back up on this drive it just errors.
USB 3.0 is not really backwards compatible with USB 2 or lower devices, and MACs will also have trouble recognizing the device if it's primarily set up on a PC.
Apart from that it's nice, quiet and fast. Just not reliable making it useless.
