Akasa DuoDockvery simple to set up - it comes with an esata-esata and a usb cable - you use either, but not both :). i plugged it in using one of the Akasa SATA to eSATA Adapter Kits (wasn't sure if an esata connector plugged directly into a sata port on the mobo, so bought one of these kits for £3.44). i slotted in a 1.5tb wd green drive, powered everything up and it just works. there is a sturdy nonslip base to the unit so even with a hdd loaded vertically it feels stable. there is a blue led glow from underneath which can be switched on/off. very happy with this - still to try hotswapping, but so far it is working a treat!28/09/2009

Brilliant DeviceWent in for an e-SATA cable and came out with this! You should too! It was superb when I had to rescue the data from a laptop hard drive and fast & faultless under XP with three different SATA 3 1/4" drives. With a "spare" 1 TB Samsung Spinpoint F3 it proved an ideal backup for the 660GB folder the windows transfer program generated when I wanted to upgrade to W7 64 bit although I thought I'd lost it when I plugged it in after the upgrade and couldn't find it anywhere in explorer or computer. But a disc rescan (admin tools/computer mgt/disc mgt/action) brought it back in. Also love the blue glow, which matches my nice new CoolerMaster RC-600 Gladiator nicely.23/10/2010

Extremely UsefulPurchased one for the added speed of the esata connection. Unit cannot be faulted, very well made and does the job well. If you have an esata mobo connection you can even boot from a drive connected to the dock.18 User found this Review usefullhelpful Review? Yes

Great valueArrived with usual OCUK efficiency. I juts plugged it in, slotted a disk in and backup went to work. It just appears as another drive on the machine and can be accessed the same way.

Very handy and convenient. if you have a spare hard disk hanging about get on!18 User found this Review usefullhelpful Review? Yes
