“Amazing monitor!I ordered on Saturday morning and by Monday afternoon it was sat on my desk. Fantastic service by OCUK once again.
The monitor is supurb, settings out the box are near on perfect. No dead pixels, no backlight bleed and no whining when reducing brightness, looks like Asus have sorted the gremlins out.
Detail and colour is fabulous, as a Photographer and Gamer I couldn't of picked a more perfect monitor.21/01/2013“
“SuperbI spent a considerable amount of time researching a suitable monitor for my needs and eventually decided on this one. I'm happy to say the research was not wasted. I wanted a monitor mainly for photograpic work (amateur) and this seemed to tick all the boxes. It is, frankly, an amazing piece of kit. Apart from the main item the box contains all the connectors you are likely to need and, thoughtfully, they have even included a branded cable tie. Windows 7 drivers are on the disc along with a manual in PDF format. On my XP Pro system it ran fine pretty much out of the box with very little tweaking needed. The display itself, running at its highest resolution of 1920 x 1080 is simply stunning. Crisp is the word that best describes it with even small text being easily readable and graphics really come to life. The blacks and bright whites both display very well (important to me). You can pay less for a monitor of this size, and you can pay more but, for me, this is absolutely p!

Excellent monitor for the price.Ordered yesterday morning and recieved this morning so impressive delivery time, well done Overclockers and DPD deliveries. The monitor is securely packed in its box so there is no shaking around while on the van.
Have gone from a 1920 x 1200 26" TN panel to this so the reduced size difference is quite noticeable so i need to adjust to that.
This is a world apart from the TN panel, the colour reproduction and image is on a whole new level. Its a matt finish screen and a matt black surround with a thin red plastic line across the bottom which i would rather do without but its only a minor thing. All adjustment buttons are on the front righthand side and fall to hand nicely.
The stand is not metal as some reviews have mentioned but its very solid and all motions are smooth.
Excellent connectivity and all cables are in the box.
The price seems to be fluctuating up and down, any reason for that OC?8 User found this Review usefullhelpful Review? Yes

ExcellentStaggering quality, both in terms of build and display. Compared to my previous TN-based screen the colours and viewing angles are fantastic. I was worried that the screen would suffer from motion blur, but this is not the case. Sports all the connections you would need, currently have my PC (DVI) and Xbox 360 (HDMI) running though it. Highly recommended.7 User found this Review usefullhelpful Review? Yes

A superb accurate monitorI got a PA238Q from Overclockers retail counter yesterday. Some reviewers have complained about the anti-glare screen coating, backlight bleed and whining sounds. For me the anti-glare coating has no effect on the image quality, in fact quite the opposite as I get none of the reflections I found less than ideal from my previous glossy screen. I see no backlight bleed in normal viewing conditions and with the brightness left on the default 100% setting hear no whining sounds. Speaking of default settings, this is the first monitor I've ever had which didn't need any changes from the default settings to get an acceptable display. With it set to Standard mode I just fine tuned the gamma settings of my video signal, using Calibrize (a Windows program freely downloadable). Once that was done all my test displays and range of photos etc look truly wonderful. If accurate colours with a non-glossy but still vibrant display is what you're after you should not overlook this monitor.7 User found this Review usefullhelpful Review? Yes

Great value Great monitorBought this monitor about a year ago now, and I have to say I'm that impressed, I'm planning to replace all my other monitors with these.
Excellent Tilt/Swivel/Pan options on the base, will move to just about any height or angle you need including portrait view, which isn't seen very often on monitors now.
No dead pixels, excellent response times in gaming, there are others that will beat it sure, but it's rare to need under 6m/s response times.
Colour responses are crisp and clear, Reduced brightness to 50% and contrast is at 80% as I found the glare from white a little strong at default, and I get 0 reflections/glare despite Spotlights and being in front of a window.
Viewing angles are perfect, I haven't had to move the monitor since I set it up.
Plus, it has more connection options than you would really know what to do with.
You absolutely cannot beat this monitor for this price.7 User found this Review usefullhelpful Review? Yes

GoodI would like to mention the quick respond of Overclockers Customer Service, and the good job of Asus Customer Service, they provided a fast and easy process of devolution. Now the issue, last 31 Dec. I bought this monitor and since then I changed twice via RMA. Since yesterday, I'm using the third monitor. The colours are superb, and love the vertical/horizontal positions. Viewing angles is nothing from other world (my iPad is better, though both have an IPS panel). What I've suffering is a strong "light bleeding" when the screen is completely black in my first monitor and second. In the last one, is not that pronounced, and this is why I decided to stay with this one. Forget pure black (not even close), and in that sense more or less equal to my last monitor LG L1960TQ.7 User found this Review usefullhelpful Review? Yes

Returning monitor backI Purchased monitor but upon delivery and setting up, I needed to reduce the brightness, and by doing so, reducing from 100 just down to 80, there was a high pitch sound omitted from the bottom right corner of the monitor. The brightness setting I needed was around 45/50, but taking it lower than 80 just resulted in the high pitch noise getting slightly louder. This item is due to be sent back. Please note on further research of forums, including overclockers very own, I found several other buyers who had the exact same issue as myself, so this appears to be a problem across most of this model range.
