Asus RT-N56U Swapped my BT Infinity router out for the Asus and couldn't believe the difference. Everything just works!!!!
Range is unbelievable on 2.5Ghz, my wireless printer now connects, DNLA now works from my Samsung phone (great for putting pictures on the big screen), USB connected storage is great.
Only negative points (being picky)
- Default firmware is old, so needed to install latest version which is a doddle.
- If using the 1GB ports, the unit does look a little messy with wires sticking out of the side.

SuperbHaving suffered the virgin media super hub for 6 long months I finally decided enough is enough and brought this router. All I can say is this router has brought joy to my life. Its gui is easy to follow, it has a wealth of features and settings. So far everything in my house has connected at at least twice the wirless rate it did with the superdud and more importantly nothing has dropped the connection, not even with the microwave on which would kill the superdud signal stone dead. One other not is the size, it's tiny so easy to hide if you want but it's also quite cute so I have mine out on the desk. THis was money well spent, anyone with a VM superdud be rest asured this is the answer to your problems.10 User found this Review usefullhelpful Review? Yes

Good All RounderI have been using this router for the best part of 6 months now. I have 4 connections to the router via the ethernet connection at the back and also use my phone connection on it. My computer is on 24/7 and i have never had any issues with this router running all the time. I have a PC upstairs and one downstairs and often copy files from each computer without any issues. The inbuilt USB connections work well with my external 1TB drive and I am able to access files and stuff from my phone and all connected PCs. I have not really tested the wireless to any extent becuase currently I dont have much use for it but I can easily watch movies on my phone from it. All in all a very good all round router for a number of tasks.10 User found this Review usefullhelpful Review? Yes

Solid Got a new router to replace the (terrible) Virgin Superhub. Solid as a rock, much better speeds even at the top of the house (4 floors away). Flawless streaming and gaming. Get involved.10 User found this Review usefullhelpful Review? Yes

FantasticOnly had this for 2 weeks but so far its turned my appauling virgin superdud connection into rock solid and stable with no drop outs so am very happy with it. It is also very nice to look at and is unobtrusive was also very quick to get up and running. Arrived rapid and was bubble wrapped to protect it during transit, So top marks all round.10 User found this Review usefullhelpful Review? Yes

Awesome Router!Ordered this after I missed my DD-WRT based router on upgrading to 100Mb and it couldn't handle it.

Signal strength much higher on 2.4Ghz band and not tested the 5Ghz band yet. Having gigabit ports meant I could also remove my aging 5 port gigabit switch saving a little power.

Setup the network storage (NAS( for local network access and for FTP access - works flawlessly at around 15MB/s.

A couple of tips, try and use a different SSID for the 5Ghz band ie put 5G at the end, also make sure you click on Internet under EzQOS and fill in your actual upload speed manually at the bottom, to prevent WAN disconnections.

Apparently, this router can handle 800Mb/s+ on the WAN port, should last a few years based on current broadband speeds :)10 User found this Review usefullhelpful Review? Yes

good speed ok this works fine very quick etc like all the othere reveiws. one problem though the way you put your ethernet cables in is strange they go in sideways. you might not think this is a problem but if you have like me all but one of the connections wired up there is a lot of wires or cables showing . so where i used to have it on top of my cupboard is a no no now as it just looks a mess with wires everywhere. my mrs hates wires and im not keen. the speed is fine lots of optoins etc. it looks great until you connect it all up. so it loses one star for looks. no doubt you could find new cables with right angles or that bend a lot but its a bit of a caper . if your wifes house proud and you dont like to see wires everywhere look somewhere else . if you dont care and its performance you want its good lots of options well built etc .10 User found this Review usefullhelpful Review?
