OMGWTFHAXWas going to get a FaTality, my friends said they were the dogs bollocks, read the reviews on this site for that card and didnt like what I was seeing, so I had a look at this one and decided to go with it.
And I'm so pleased, what a difference this card makes, I was on a PC165 Sennheiser sound card and I thought that was good but this is so much better.
5/5 for sound card
10/10 for OC service

Wow What A DifferenceAt first I was skeptical but after installing this into my computer I can't believe the difference it makes. In games footstep sounds and your surrounding are much more clear and and pronounced definately has made a difference in my gaming by a big margin. When it comes to music wow! the clarity compared to onboard is amazing and I have a pair of sony head phones that are in the £100 range so you would need a decnt set of headphones or speakers if your gonna squeeze every drop of quality this monster has got to offer.11 User found this Review usefullhelpful Review? Top Notch QualityFirst off, brilliant delivery from OCUK, this was my first purchase with them (usually use Scan) but they are now up there with the best of them!

Audio card is brilliant, you open the box and get a real sense of quality, the accents of Gold and brushed black metal look really nice!

Installed easily, drivers installed first time, although thanks to one review I used the "Unblock" method via WinRar first so maybe that helped!

Sound quality is unparalleled by anything I have owned previous to this card. I doubt I will ever need to upgrade for my personal use which is mainly games and movies!

I use a set of Sennheiser PC360 and also a new set of Astro A50's just recently. The 3.5mm jacks work and sound great and the optical is perfect too, plus the Dolby Digital Live is easy to activate so all in all 5 stars easily!11 User found this Review usefullhelpful Review? Yes

Simply amazingWhat can I say? After reading numerous positive reviews of this soundcard and trying to justify the pricetag to myself, I decided to treat myself.. And what a treat! This soundcard is truly increadible. You can read as much as you like into the specifics of this card and, rest assured, you will be left feeling positive. But you can only truly appreciate the crisp, clean and beautiful sound produced by the Xonar D2X by hearing it for yourself. Audio is beautifully crisp and clean and the surround effect on games is truly remarkable. I have a 5.1 setup (Creative Inspire T6100) and am able to pinpoint enemies on CoD4 by the mear rustling of grass around me! Upgraded from an X-Fi which I wasn't terribly impressed with on Vista, worth every penny! Also comes with some very useful software if you're into that kinda thing, and it looks pretty sexy for a soundcard.

What can i sayI got this today and, well, what can i say, it is utterly amazing. It completely destroys my old Audigy 2 ZS. Sound quality is crystal clear, driver install was simple after getting the Win7 beta driver from the web and so far i have been nothing but impressed. If you are looking for a sound card - don't look anywhere else - buy this !!10 User found this Review usefullhelpful Review? Yes

GET THIS CARDI bought this last week from here (extremely fast shipping from DHL.. arrived a day earlier than I expected! 5 stars as usual for OCUK shipping) and I have to admit; I was a little worried when I did my research about the Floppy power connector and the Windows 7 Asus drivers and all that but there's absolutely nothing to worry about. This card kicks ass! I love it and the sound quality is much much better than the Realtek High-Def (yeah right..) that came with the motherboard. The sound quality is absolutely mindblowing in games, movies and normal music. And even though I'm not an audiphile, I have to admit this card was worth every penny I spent on it.10 User found this Review usefullhelpful Review? Yes

Great CardIn comparison to the XFi top end cards this eats it. Its only rival as far as PC gaming audio goes is the Azuntech Prelude which dosent have 24/192 on every channel like this does. also this has stable vista drivers (32bit / 64bit) and openAI & EAX 2 supportfor future games.
Only thing to bear in mind is that its PCI-E 1X... which may seem fine as you should have about 3 slots... problem is that the top slot ends up hitting the ram so I had to put it in my crossfire PCI-E X16 slot killing my dreams of getting another graphics card.... if you want crossfire, get the PCI version... if corssfire isnt important and you want the best sound, then get this.9 User found this Review usefullhelpful Review? All you'll ever needExcellent looking piece of kit - very high quality. But VERY large for a soundcard! Had to fit mine in the second PCIx16 slot as it hit the memory clips on my 680i LT mobo. Needs floppy power connector aswell.

Had the same 'not enough resources to run this hardware' error. Updating bios fixed this problem (maybe PCI-E spread spectrum setting sorted it???). Once xp64 found it installing drivers was relatively easy. Only a quickstart guide on paper, should be more so you can read up proper before install - pdf guide is on driver disc.

Sound quality is superb, easily noticably better than my onboard 7.1 setup. Much more clarity throughout the frequency ranges.

Bundled software was very good - more than i expected, cannot complain at all - bargain!

Next day delivery from ocuk as always :)9 User found this Review usefullhelpful Review? Yes
