In true 8Pack style, the new and improved Comet MK2 harnesses the power of cherry-picked components for phenomenal performance. Every time you press the power button, this gaming PC proves that bigger is not always better, making it the ultimate choice for 4K LAN gaming. For its foundation, the 8Pack Comet MK2 utilises an ASUS ROG X670E Gene Gaming WiFi Motherboard. With support for DDR5, AMD Ryzen 7000 Series, and PCIe 5.0, this motherboard is future-proofed.
For its processor, the 8Pack Comet MK2 is armed with an AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D CPU that has been overclocked and tuned to optimise performance. Tuned to be the king of gaming, this processor uses AMD’s Zen 4 architecture, including sixteen cores, thirty-two threads, and intelligent 3D cache technology. AMD's 3D V-cache facilitates higher capacities, with this CPU boasting 144MB. What’s more, the design allows more of the cache to be accessed at once, enhancing efficiency and performance especially in games.
The memory kit consists of 64GB 5600MHz DDR5 RAM. This provides the processor with ample bandwidth necessary for dominating the competition. Additionally, these RAM modules are equipped with AMD EXPO, a brand-new memory overclocking profile built into the hardware. With the easy-to-use interface, you can expertly tune your memory to higher frequencies for better in-game performance.
Providing the graphical prowess, the 8Pack Comet MK2 is equipped with an overclocked and water cooled NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 GPU. Thanks to NVIDIA’s Ada Lovelace architecture, this graphics card can effortlessly game at 4K, stream, and digitally render images or video. Be prepared for some truly out-of-this-world gaming!
In stark contrast to its predecessor, the new 8Pack Comet MK2 sports a sleek, futuristic white and blue aesthetic. Sure to look at home on any spaceship. The case is white, with blue accents, whilst the internal hardware is illuminated by an ethereal blue and white glow. Both the RGB lighting and liquid coolant have been colour-matched to truly make this gaming PC pop.
The Micro-ATX chassis has been custom built, in-house, specifically for the 8Pack Comet MK2. Much in the style of the 8Pack Meteoroid, it has been designed to host the motherboard on the right, allowing the left-hand side to showcase the bespoke, 8Pack branded distro plate. Plus, it can be manufactured from a choice of three materials: acyclic, aluminium, or carbon fibre. As standard, the case is acrylic, but you can adjust or mix and match materials as you see fit.
What’s more, with Overclockers UK’s printer, you can add your own custom designs to your 8Pack Comet MK2. Provided your image is in the correct format and does not infringe on copyright law, we can personalise this mighty PC for you.
With such high-performance hardware, the 8Pack Comet MK2 needs a thermal solution to match. As such, it features a dual-loop water-cooling system, custom made with EK Water Blocks and Corsair Hydro X Series hardware. Plus, there are hexagonal cut-outs featured across the panelling to facilitate amazing natural airflow – including the formation of an “8” on the front.
Hard piping feeds the blue liquid coolant throughout the system, including a bespoke distro plate manufactured from acetal plastic. The 8Pack branded distro plate is opaque white, providing a stylish canvas for the liquid coolant. Should you wish to adjust the finish, this distro plate can be customised to suit your aesthetic.
D5 pumps combined with reservoirs have been chosen to keep these loops circulating. These were specifically selected for the reliable flow, thus improving heat transfer efficiency. Both the processor and graphics card have dedicated water blocks whilst two 480mm radiators vent heat from the loops. With such incredible efficiency, the 8Pack Comet MK2 runs quietly so you can enjoy your gaming more.
The 8Pack Comet MK2 is powered by a mighty 1200W ATX 3.0 PSU. Achieving an 80 PLUS Platinum rating, you can rest assured that this power supply unit provides wattage with the utmost efficiency.
For storage, the 8Pack Comet MK2 harnesses two 1TB WD Black SN850 SSDs and one 2TB Samsung 870 EVO SSD. These SSDs provide lightning-fast read and write speeds for your gaming library and creative software, significantly reducing boot times and loading screens. With 4TB of high-speed storage, you’ll have ample capacity for all your media files, photos, and music. Plus, there are plenty of upgrade options should you need more!
The 8Pack Comet MK2 can be adjusted to suit your specification. This gaming PC is equipped with custom braided cables, in a galactic blend of white and blues as standard. These can be changed to any colour. Additionally, the EK Water Blocks coolant colour can be changed to suit your aesthetic.
For such a complex machine, the minimum lead time for the 8Pack Comet MK2 is 36 days. This may be affected by busy periods and 8Pack’s work commitments. Our team will always endeavour to meet this deadline and keep you informed of the system build progress.
