I recommend using 3200MHz or 3600MHz 8Pack edition team group 16GB memory kits with Ryzen. I’ve tested this in both X470 and X570 platforms and both show excellent results with tight CAS timings. I'm blown away by this CPU, paired it with a MSI MAG X570 Tomahawk motherboard & 16 GB of Team Group 8Pack Edition 3600MHz memory, works like a charm. It breezes through games, desktop apps & streaming all at once, love it.
Certainly worth the extra cost if requiring multiple cores.
Excellent cpu. Only real shame is I bought it at ~550 and its now 450 :frowning: big sad. Still, it plays every game you throw at it and renders significantly faster in Maya. Coming from an i7-4790K its a huge upgrade! Take care to make sure you have the latest bios and set fan curves probably. Otherwise the fans on your pc will boost up and down alot. Overall very happy with it. Just a shame about the pricing during the shortage in October/November...
