MANUFACTURER BitFenix
The Dawn TG is an elegant Midi-Tower with numerous innovative features from the case professionals at BitFenix. Behind the coated tempered glass lies a mesh complete with unique patterns, which extends to the right side. Drawing inspiration from the name, the digitally addressable RGB lighting behind it emits light that gives the impression of a sunrise shining through a window. The lateral strip on the left includes large air inlets to help ensure good airflow. The upper side has a large honeycomb mesh with a magnetic dust filter, beneath which a 240 mm radiator can be installed. Alternatively, the dust filter can be replaced by a solid cover.

Three quiet 120 mm fans are included in the package from BitFenix. The fan at the rear is from the in-house Spectre series and is equipped with RGB lighting that fills the interior of the case and can be seen through the two tempered glass side panels. Additionally, the case can even support E-ATX motherboards and includes plenty of room for optimal cable management. The highlight, however, is the ability to install the graphics card vertically, which can also be up to 380 millimetres long.

The Features of the BitFenix Dawn TG Midi-Tower at a Glance:

Stylish Midi-Tower with RGB-LED Lighting and Lots of Tempered Glass

The exterior of the case is as eye-catching as its interior thanks to the tempered glass on both sides as well as the front of the case. This is where BitFenix has added there own innovative touch, in the form of protective foil for the glass, similar to the kind used in the automotive industry. This prevents the glass from splintering should it be broken, and the glass itself remains extremely clear to maximise the impact of RGB-LED components. With a compatible motherboard, RGB-LEDs on the front, as well as the lighting of the rear-facing RGB-LED fans, can be quickly and easily configured via software. They can even be synchronised with other RGB components to make for some stunning lighting effects and patterns. Alternatively, the integrated controller means that users will also be pleased to note the presence of a switch on the I/O panel.

The interior of this spacious Midi-Tower supports motherboards from Mini-ITX- all the way up to E-ATX form factors. Two 3.5- or 2.5“ drives can be stowed away beneath the PSU shroud thanks to the included brackets, while four further 2.5“ slots lie behind the motherboard tray. Your hardware and cooling gear will enjoy a clean, uncluttered look from behind the left side panel. Behind the motherboard tray lies 28 mm of space for cable management.

Plenty of Space for Cooling and Powerful Hardware in the Bitfenix Dawn TG

The rear of the case is equipped with a 120 mm RGB fan, while the front includes two standard fans without lighting to ensure a steady stream of fresh air. Moreover, the roof of the case allows for two fans and the front supports a total of three 120 mm fans. One additional fan can be installed at the bottom to the rear of the power supply. The front or on the roof supports two 140 mm models. The air vents in the front, bottom and roof are all equipped with removable dust filters that do not require tools to remove.

The front of the Bitfenix Dawn TG is compatible with 240- or even 360- or 280 mm format radiators with a thickness of 35 mm and a width of 141 mm. In the case of large radiators, a section of the PSU shroud can be removed. The roof even has space for a further radiator up to 280 mm in length, while at the rear, the pre-installed fan can be replaced with a 120 mm radiator. CPU coolers can be up to 16.5 cm tall and powerful graphics cards up to a length of 38 cm will fit inside. The PCI bracket to the rear with its seven horizontal slots can be replaced with a four slot vertically oriented bracket if preferred.
Please do not remove the protective foil from the tempered glass panels.

Incredible accessibility, fantastic aesthetic

by Mike star_border star star star star

I bought this case for my first PC build, and I'm glad I did because the level of accessibility in the design made figuring out the cable management incredibly easy, and also very tidy. Plenty of options for where you mount the SSDs and mechanical hard drive, and the two pull-out dust filters are fantastic. I've got enough space left after building that I'm considering adding a soundcard. Not only does the RGB look great on it, if you think it might be distracting then when it's turned off the dark grey squares on black look is very nice as well, in a minimalist sort of way.I did have a few minor issues - the strip of insulating foam between the case and the illuminated window had shipped with a second strip attached which doubled the thickness, I presume in error, making it difficult to put the thumbscrews back, but I just peeled off one of the two layers and it solved the issue completely. Also, two of the types of screws that came with it were mis-labelled, but this was extremely easy to figure out - SSD's were the tiny ones. The cables for the front panel and RGB were not mentioned in the supplied manual, but I notice that Bitfenix has since uploaded a "How To Connect RGB/ARGB" .pdf to the product page on their website, and their YouTube channel now has a video on the same subject. These little things aside however, I thoroughly recommend the case. The build quality is very high. As mentioned, I'm a first time builder and managed to figure out what to do very quickly, experienced builders would probably be able to put together a system with this case in under 15 minutes.
