MSI X570 MPG GAMING PRO CARBON WIFI REVIEWI feel that this motherboard, the MSI MPG gaming pro carbon wifi, is the best motherboard Ihave ever used. It is extremely simple to use, very clearly labelled, and it is also a very goodperforming part at the price point. The x570 chipset is a very good chipset as it supports 2ndand 3rd gen ryzen cpus and that means if you are starting out, and have a mediocre ryzen cpu,this would be an excellent choice for you as it is future-proofing. I like the rgb accents on theside and top of the board, and it has loads of fan and rgb headers on it, so you wont have to buya controller. This is overall a very good performing board that also looks great and isinexpensive***The pci gen 4 for drives is also a very nice touch***

When Ryzen 3000 came out, I decided, it's time for upgrade. I did a lot of searching for info about the X570 board.After that my list of potential boards to buy got limited to MPG X570 Gaming EDGE WiFi, MPG X570 Gaming PRO Carbon WiFi, Asus ROG STRIX X570 Gaming-E and Asus ROG STRIX X570 Gaming-F.After comparing them, MPG X570 Gaming PRO Carbon WiFi was for me ideal, very nice aestetics, good connectivity options, and 100 less that the Asus ones.The box is filled with all needed stuff (SATA cables, M.2 screws, cable labels, case badge, ...).Installation is very easy and I thought, top VRM cooler might colide with my AIO cooler, but it didn't, so I am satisfied.After installing CPU, RAM and putting the whole system together, I had to set up BIOS. It was straightforward with no problems at all.Operation with OCed system really smooth and quiet, RAMs running at full speed (4133MHz).I also did some game testing:- Starcraft II - Extreme settings - 80+ FPS- Witcher 3 - High settings - 60+ FPS- Mass Effect Andromeda - Ultra settings - 60+ FPS- Tomb Raider (2013) - Ultimate settings - 60+ FPS- Rise of the Tomb Raider - High settings - 60+ FPS- Shadow of the Tomb Raider - Highest settings - 60+ FPSPros:- Very good gaming board for all new Ryzen CPUs (I have Ryzen 5 3600)- Very nice design with big enought VRM and chipset coolers- M.2 heatsinks- PCI express STEEL ARMOR - Keeps my GPU nice and steady in place (not unlike my ROG STRIX B350-F Gaming board)- I/O shield preinstalled- WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5- Many USB for all my accessories- 2x USB3 front panel headers- RGB zones on board itself and headers- Enough SATA ports- Enough FAN headers with good positions for my case (3 at the bottom for 3 front sysFANs, 1 at the top for back sysFAN)- Clean BIOS with enought settings and easy overclockCons:There are just a small things, that could be made better:- VRM cooler near back I/O panel - I would change the color to black. Then it would match the board design perfectly- 1 4pin RGB header at the top - this board could have 2 4pin RGB headers for (at least) better cable management and lightning zones config. Also this one header could have been in different place.Top of the board (right under AIO cooler) is not that good.- RGB setting after startup - Default setting of RGB lightning is after every PC startup right until logging to Windows, when Dragon center takes control. If also some basic RGB settings can be done in BIOS, I'd appreciate it.- BIOS reset jumper position - That could have in in different place.
