Battlehawk V2 Midi Tower Case - BlackThe Taiwanese manufacturer, Aerocool, has traditionally tried to offer customers an attractive combination of style and good value. The BattleHawk is a competitively-priced mid-size tower that blends an array of features with excellent design and the value for which Aerocool is famous. Version 2 of this case includes a PSU shroud and removes a drive cage in order to make way for more space for PCIe expansion cards. What Aerocool has retained, on the other hand, are popular features like the window as well as the multimedia card slots and the fan controls which are located on the I/O panel.

The Aerocool Battlehawk V2 in DetailThe black BattleHawk (Version 2), has an angular and attractive design that draws on birds of prey as its inspiration. The front and roof both encourage good airflow, a transparent section in the lower part of the front extends to the side panels. Both side panels bulge very slightly outwards, and this helps offer users greater room on the inside for hardware and cable management. The upper part of the front conceals the externally accessible drive bays behind a flap. The modern I/O panel is conveniently located and also offers fan controls, a card reader for all the common modern SD- and microSD variants, an audio input and output, USB 3.0- and two USB 2.0 ports.
A special feature of the BattleHawk V2 is the fan that comes illuminated with red LEDs, although in this case it is not set directly behind a mesh grid as in most cases. In this instance the tinted panel in the lower front section of the case actually makes the lighting come through even better. The air vents on the case are present in the form of smaller mesh-type surfaces located to the sides and underneath the case. In order to provide your high-performance hardware with adequate cooling, the case is capable of holding up to five 120 mm fans, two of which go on the front and pull in cool air - one of which comes pre-installed here with red LEDs. Warm air from the GPU/CPU is exhausted by means of a pre-installed 120 mm fan, although two 120 mm fans can be installed in the roof if users prefer. The ATX power supply in the bottom of the case is compartmentalised in such a way as to not exhaust further hot air into the case. Furthermore, the power supply's air vent is protected by a dust filter to help keep the interior clean.
Despite measuring up as a Midi-Tower, the BattleHawk V2 offers enough space on the inside to put it on a par with full ATX towers. It offers compatibility with ATX motherboards, long power supplies, plenty of drives and (vital for gaming PCs) space for long graphics cards. The front flap also cleverly conceals a 5.25" bay. The PSU shroud allows users to hide unattractive power supplies and messy cabling, while also allowing space for three 3.5" drives. There is also the option of installing an extra 92 mm fan. Two 2.5" drives can be installed to the front of the motherboard tray. Graphics cards up to 397 mm long can be installed in this case - more than enough for just about any graphics cards, including dual-slot models. CPU coolers can be up to 155 mm in height, although 120- or 240 mm AiO watercooling is also an option here.
