nice case but heavy

Bought as a replacement case for my main rig, I wanted something quiet and elegant and not aluminium. Side panels are very heavy due to the insulation, which is surprisingly thin. Hard not to drop them when removing. Case does not have feet in the usual way, but the bottom of the case is shaped each end to raise it up for airflow. This has a matt or rubbery finish, I can't slide the case on my carpet, trying to do so it judders and leaves a black smudge. Table also smudged after assembly but cif got it off.
Looks like you can use a 3.5" external and comes with drive bay cover for this. Also comes with a hinged 5.25 cover but I saw no way to get this to work.
Hard drive bays have the cable ends inserted first, you will need right-angle sata connectors due to rear panel clearance.
The case comes with a coloured unvented and a black vented top panel. I only use air cooling to stuck a couple of alpenfohn 120mm fans in there.
The fan controller on to can control 3 fans, it has 3 speed settings [+ stop]. There are 5v and 7v fan leads connected to this.
Top panel has usb and headphone sockets.
Assembly was easy except getting a large hsf on and off - or putting board in ready-assembled - I found space was cramped to get at screws etc. It's not a big case.
In use - yeah it's quite quiet. Not silent, but with four case fans, an open lid, a 560ti and an akasa venom nano, I didn't expect silence. Big fans and insulated sides help.
Case temperatures seem good, which did surprise me given the case has no vents in either side panel. I had issues at first but they seem to have been cured by lowering the cpu voltage to a more sensible level rather than the nuke-it-now default levels the motherboard wanted to use. One of my board sensors is showing a higher temp than I would like - seems to be cpu socket - so I will keep an eye on that.
Oh and the coloured outside just seems to be hard plastic, it's not a rubbery finish. It's nice how it is, just not what I expected.
Overall - solidly built, works as it should, a bit heavy and hard to move but works smoothly and efficiently once in place, and looks and feels great. Not recommended if you like to move your case around and swap components regularly though.
