Good (but tall)

The rubber mountings for the fan make this a very quiet install. Aluminium veins are cool to the touch and gentle fan kept my i5 2550k @ 23c. Unplugged CPU fan from mobo and temp rose 1c every few seconds, showing a gentle fan and large cooling surface area is very effective. But its a tall fan and about 4mm too big for my Coolermaster tower. The pipes need a deeper curve or the copper tips need reducing. I just managed to just close the case with one side bulging just a little, which will put stress on the mobo, so will need a more compact alternative.

Aside from that I like it.

Surprsing performance

Using one of these to cool an i7 2700K@4.6GHz, idles at 32C, 62C full load (IBT@max). Fan is whisper quiet, very easy to install using push-pins. A full 10C cooler than the Corsair H50 I was using before. A better fan would no-doubt increase performance at the cost of extra noise. Highly recommended.

Great fan works well.

After reading up on the 2600k i7 processor it seemed to point at those sort of processors running quiet warm. So I thought it best to by an after-market cooler and after reading many reviews this seemed to come out really well.

The first thing that really worried me was when I was holding the box in my hand. It made no mention of it fitting a socket 1155 on the box or even the instructions. But thankfully it did fit fine.

Also to note the bottom of this cooler isn't flat. So I put this on the first time with Arctic Silver 5 compound, then took it off and cleaned both surfaces but left the Arctic Silver 5 compound in the nooks and cranny's before attaching it again.

So to sum up, an ok looking cooler, runs very quietly even when it's maxed out at 1558 RPM. Any taller and this cooler wouldn't fit in my Antec Nine Hundred Case, it fits perfectly. It keeps the i7 to a nice cool 24 degrees at idle.
