Alpenfohn Olymp Twin Tower High Performance CPU Cooler - 140mm

With our latest creation "Olymp" we proudly present the response to the state-of-the-art elite of 140mm twin tower coolers.
Olymp is specifically designed to provide maximum compatibility with tall heat spreaders on performance memory modules. The shape of the Olymp has been carefully considered to allow great airflow to the CPU cooler but also to draw air around the high heat output sections of the mainboard and memory modules.
The new aerodynamically optimized fin geometry already introduced with our ATLAS cooler offers a perfect match with the 2 premium fans and ensures a best possible symbiosis of noise and performance.

The included high performance TIM "Permafrost" completes this high-end package and ensures a maximum performance on sockets

Features:
- Twin tower with 6*6mm heat pipes up to 340W TDP
- Aerodynamically optimized fin design for increased air flow
- Asymmetrical design of the heatsink for nearly 100% RAM compatibility
- Two 140mm premium PWM fans with enlarged speed range from 300 rpm up to 1400 rpm
- Ruggedized screw mounting for all current sockets from intel and AMD
- "Permafrost" high performance TIM

Good value

Great alternative to the higher priced Noctua coolers. I bought one of these on sale at £48 after I ripped my old waterloop out.

it feels very well made, the heatsink is sturdy and the fans are hefty with a rubbery coating. I find just running the fans at 60% is enough to keep my 6700k cool, at that speed you can barely near them from a couple of meters away.

Installation is a bit fiddly. You have to install the fans after you screw the base to the motherboard, which in a small case might be difficult.

good but huge

I gave it a 9, not because it doesn't do the job, but because it is huge. That makes it difficult to install and maneuver, plus adding the coolers is quite weird and difficult.
It does do the job and cools down effectively though. Just make sure you install prior to setting the motherboard in the case. i have a full tower and with that thing in there was no room to get to cables, screws etc.
