Worth every penny

Upgraded from a 60hz samsung syncmaster and the difference is like night and day cant understand why it's so much cheaper than the other 144hz monitor's less eye strain more frames i am now owning on cod and bf wish i had bought it sooner did not purchase from overclockers as it was out of stock but thought id leave review here. Has vesa wall mounts all the cables needed in box dvi dp hdmi etc and the ability to choose 60hz 100hz 120hz 144hz so buy it if your gpu can output over 100 fps.

So far so good, decent monitor. bad cabl

Well, been using it for 2 days now, wish I could do a full review, but since it only ships with a single link DVI cable, I can't. Bad Cables! Bad Cables!

So, yeah, order a DVI Dual Link cable with this, or the best you'll do is 60hz...

More later..

Great monitor

Let me first start by saying that before this monitor I had a BenQ RL2455HM (60 hz), And my Second monitor had recently broken and I'd have been looking into 120 / 144 Hz for quite some time now. So I decided to go for this.

I couldn't find much about this monitor on the internet, But it's basically the same screen as the AOC G2460QPU, just without the ability to swivel, and less ports and other cosmetic stuff, So reviews for that monitor will relate to this monitor in terms of the screen itself.

First of all, I'd like to say that in order to take advantage of the 144hz, you need to either have a DisplayPort port on your Graphics card, or have a Dual link DVI-D Cable. This monitor does not come with a Dual Link DVI-D Cable, but it comes with a single link DVI (Slightly strange how they don't supply you with the cable needed to take advantage of the top feature of this monitor) So bare in mind you'll probably have to grab a Dual Link DVI-D Cable, unless your GPU has a DislayPort port.

I've read a lot about 120 / 144 Hz monitors, and I always read the same thing (Once you go 120hz, you can never go back), And I was extremely surprised to see that, They're right!.
the higher refresh rate of this monitor is just insane, I'm a CS:GO Player (Can't use 144hz because I'm yet to have a Dual link DVI Cord, But at lower resolutions you can get away with 120hz) and after just 10 minutes of using 120 Hz, I was mind blown at how smooth it actually is, I switched it back to 60hz just to see the difference, and it was absolutely horrible. it's literally like going from 60 fps then capping your game at 30 fps, The jump from 120 to 60hz is literally that big.

Will it make you play better?, It certainly will help, during fast mouse movements you can actually see a lot more detail than 60 Hz, No longer is everything flying past in a blur, It's a lot less strenuous on your eyes, at the time I didn't really feel as I was playing better, but when I went back to 60hz, I was shocking, 60fps is the new 30 when it comes to high refresh rates, and it really will make a huge difference, Even in the desktop!, something as simple as moving your mouse, it looks more like it's a physical mouse cursor in front of your screen it's that smooth.

In the box you get a Single link DVI-D Cable (Not compatible with 144hz, but compatible with 120hz at low resolutions) a Displayport cable, a HDMI Cable, and a Power cable.

For the price of this monitor it's a brilliant entry into the world of high refresh rate monitors. It's even better than my BenQ RL2455HM in every way (Colour, contrast, brightness).

10/10

Excellent value for the money

Very smooth transaction with OC. Delivered quickly and it is an excellent product and yes, it actually does run at 144Hz. I attached it to my 770 and the monitor looks lovely. Quick note - My computer originally would only run at 60Hz with the DVI cable supplied. It took me a while to figure out that the DVI needed to run at 144Hz should be a 24 pin dual link and not a 18 pin single link as supplied. However, I didn't need to buy one of these as AOC had also supplied a displayport cable which when connected did the trick.
So if your graphics card has a displayport connection then great, if not then you will probably have to get a dual link (24 pin) DVI cable. Apart from that the monitor is superb and for the price you cannot go wrong.

This is not the entry to 144Hz I was loo

I bought this as part of the Black Friday deals thinking I'd found a cheap(ish) entry into the world of 144Hz screens but, Alas! it's not proved to be the best of investments.

First off, AOC ship this with x1 HDMI, x1 DisplayPort, x1 D-Sub and x1 DVI-D cable.... but it's a DIV-D single link they ship, not a DVI-D dual link which - if getting over the 60Hz refresh rate is your goal and your GPU doesn't have native support for DP - you're going to have to source elsewhere.

Build quality is...... not bad but not brilliant. Being at the budget end of the 144Hz spectrum means they're going to skimp on solidity ("Wobbly base ahoy, cap'n!"), no USB ports and pressing the buttons for screen adjustment produces creaks & groans akin to a wooden ship-of-the-line going round the Horn in a force 10 gale.

So, because I wanted glorious 144Hz I canned the HDMI and D-Sub and went for the DP (oo-er!) interface, cranking things up to 144Hz. However, at this point the screen started to play silly beggars by way of flickering artefacts or going off/on/off intermittently and then when/if it came back on it would revert back to 60Hz or - if it hadn't come back on - I'd have to do a hard reset (never happy doing this) in order to get my display back..... which again reverted itself to 60Hz after the restart had completed.

Because there was no DVI-D dual link included I purchased one (at an additional cost of

Great value for money!

Knowing I wanted a 144hz monitor, I had to do research on this, the BenQ XL2420Z and the Asus VG248QE, the only difference would the that this does not have a height adjustable, pivot, etc stand. You can only tilt it.

It comes with all the required accessories to run at 144hz, display port cable and Dual-Link DVI. HDMI if you want to use the on board speakers AND a male to male audio cable for the same thing! OPTIONS BABY OPTIONS!

Seriously though going from 60hz to 144hz might be the best upgrade I've ever done.

Warning :)

Hey there, just a warning for people who're going to buy this if you're expecting to use 144hz you'll need to buy a dual link dvi cable to go with it because they send it with a single link dvi. Otherwise though, the colour depth of the monitor and general bang for buck is great.
