The aquaero is an absolutely autonomous working microprocessor-controlled device with USB 2.0 interface. All speed parameters and sensor values can be set and visualized in an user-friendly PC-software.

Several aqua computer products can be used to expand the functionality of the aquaero 5 Controller. These expansions are dynamically mapped into the device, creating a consitent control system rather than individual devices.

Update to the above

Realised in highly graphics intensive things the temps were climbing to 60 on my gpu's, so I'm now on method 3.....

Basically fan speed is now controlled by whichever of my CPU, GPU1 or GPU2 is highest (created a virtual temp sensor that is an amalgamation of those three system sensors and set highest one as what fan control works on).

God this device is clever! There's so many things you can do in the software its unbelievable.

If I could give it 6 stars i would...


Great for stealthy advanced fan control

Got this fitted in my water cooled rig. Didn't want any of the ones with front panel as my case (silverstone TJ10) has door on front. Have this fitted behind a 5 1/4 bay and use mod my toys fan splitter pcb's to help keep the fan wiring neat.

Currently running 8 x Noiseblocker PL2 120mm fans in two banks of 4 (intake and outlet).

I'm using 4 of the supplied temp sensors to give me air intake and outlet temps on my two rads (fitted on either side of rad so just sticking into airflow without sensor touching the metal of the rad) as well as a bitspower water temperature sensor and speed sensor from my D5 pump.

I'd recommend factoring in buying Aida64 software to go with this product as it makes the whole process of pulling the sensor values from motherboard and CPU etc into the aquacomputers software much easier.

I've run this in two different ways.

I did have it running where it worked out the temp difference between averaged air intake temperature and water temperature. So basically as the delta between air temp and water temp increased so did the fan speed, great way to get quiet running as the fans only sped up to disipatel with the heat in the water cooling system.

I'm now running this where the cpu temp controls the fan speed. This has made for a little noisier rig with fan speeds ramping up and down a lot more quickly, but I realized I needed the extra airflow to keep my motherboard/ RAM cool under load to keep my current 990x @ 4.6Ghz stable (was only stable at 4.4 without that extra airflow on initial CPU load).

All in all a great product!
