Awesome Cooler

This can even be moded to fit a P4HT CPU. I used it to replace an old Zalman Orb that had a broken fan spline. With a little inginuity I got this superb cooler onto my old trust P4HT 3.0.
Removed the supplied clips, then using the scren brackets from the Zalman and a 1/4" thick slab of plastic the same size as the coper block secured the cooler to the CPU holder. Perfect. Secure and does the job very well. Now to get one for my old Athlon XP 3200+

Awesome with capital A

Just picked it up from royal mail local storage(yeah, missed my home delivery). Instalation was pretty easy. Now to the results part:

My CPU is an Athlon II x2 245 @stock 2.9GHz

With system-controlled rpm:
40c full load - 900 rpm
33c idle - 540 rpm
This is huge, normally coolers run at about 2000 rpm for that result(my stock cooler did 2300 rpm for 52c @full load).

You cant hear it at 900 rpm unless you open the case and put your ear next to it(not that i tried it or something :P )

Now at full rpm:
35c full load - 2250 rpm
28c idle - 2250 rpm
At that rpm it gets medium-noisy but for those temps it is worth it.

So, to sum it up:
Looking for good, silent and cheap cooler for casual use? get this!
Looking for good, silent and cheap cooler for overclocking? get this!

Brilliant

So much quieter and efficient than the stock cooler. Got this cooling an AM2 3ghz Dual core (oldschool!) and it's knocked idling temperatures down from 37 to 28 :D

Brilliant Cooler

I have this stuck on an AMD Phenom II X3 overclocked to 3.2 ghz (that's enough for me!)

All I am going to say is... sometimes the fan even stops!!

When gaming I can't even hear it and I have not seen it go above 45 degrees C (after a couple of hours of COD4)

It's a piece of cake to fit... but do bear in mind it is fairly large.

10 out of 5.

Thumbs up for this

This is a fantastic heatsink. I have it on an overclocked Phenom II 550 BE, overclocked to 3.71 Ghz by upping the multiplier to x18.5 and core voltage to 1.42 volts, idles at 39 degrees, tops out at 46 degrees under load (Prime95), all this and quiet to! Fits perfectly on my Gigabyte M52L-S3P Rev 3 board with all 4 ram slots filled, and in my CM Storm Scout case. Would have got 5 stars, but in limited confines the clip is a pig to fit.

Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro PWM CPU Co

Good cooler keeps the processor nice and cool, 41 degrees at idle (AM3 Phenom 2 955 quad), great value for money , downside is that on my board (crosshair 3 ) it blocks the closest 2 memory slots , probably could mod the fan guard and just about get another 2 in there though ...

Top product

Quite a beast, but well worth it.

Good improvement over the stock cooler (on an Athlon X2 4800+) and temps now idle @ 31C. Quick load test pushed up to 41C, so at least a 10C reduction.

No problem with installation, but on this ABIT AV-8, I'm having to use the NB fan power connector rather than the CPU on - seems the plug on this fan is larger than needs to be.

Recommended, and the usual good service from OC.
