B450M Pro4 (Socket AM4) DDR4 MATX Motherboard
The B450 chipset forms the centrepiece of the ASRock B450M Pro4 motherboard and has been specially developed and optimised for 2000- series (Pinnacle Ridge) Ryzen CPUs. B450 motherboards support all features of 2nd gen Ryzen processors, such as the AMD's new XFR2 overclocking. Additionally, the motherboards support up to 64 GB of RAM with a guaranteed clock frequency of 2.933 Megahertz. Overclocking to higher frequencies is also an option, although the increase will depend on the motherboard.
The Features of the ASRock B450M Pro4 at a Glance:
- 1x PCIe 3.0 x16 (x16) for high-end graphics cards
- 2x USB 3.1 (1x Type C, 1x Type A) / 6x USB 3.0 / 6x USB 2.0
- 1x M.2 (PCIe 3.0 x4) / 1x M.2 (SATA6G) / 4x SATA 6G
- DDR4-RAM up to 3.200 MHz via OC
- ELNA Audio Capacitors & digital RGB header
The Features of the ASRock B450M Pro4 in Detail:
The ASRock B450M Pro4 Micro-ATX motherboard offers a PCI-Express 3.0 slot with a full x16 lanes of connectivity for graphics cards as well as a PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slot with x4. The motherboard also provides a PCIe-x1 slot for additional expansion cards. The four RAM slots support up to 64 GB DDR4-RAM clocked at up to 2.933 MHz and this can even be increased up to 3.200 MHz via overclocking.
At the same time, two M.2 slots with PCIe connectivity are available thanks to the board being AM4-compatible. One of the slots is connected over four PCI-Express Lanes, while the other uses SATA6G speeds. M.2 SSDs that use the advanced NVM-Express protocol (NVMe) and that are connected with four PCI-Express 3.0 lanes are capable of speeds up to eight times faster than those of SATA 6G hard drives - supporting rates of up to 32 Gbit/s.
The ASRock B450M Pro4 on the I/O panel offers a USB 3.1 Type C connection as well as a USB 3.1 Type A connector. The USB Type C port can be inserted in either orientation and is particularly slim. USB 3.1 Gen 2 achieves speeds of up to 10 Gbit/s per port and USB ports using this standard support, as a rule, smartphones and tablets that offer fast charging. For CPUs with integrated graphics, such as AMD's Raven Ridge APUs, an HDMI-, a DVI-, and a D-Sub connector.
In terms of special features, the ASRock B450M Pro4 offers ELNA Audio Capacitors for clear onboard sound. Additionally the motherboard comes with two headers, one for static lighting and one header for addressable RGB elements. Needless to say, the board provides high-quality and robust power delivery for your CPU as well.
