H370 Pro4 Intel H370 (Socket 1151) DDR4 ATX MotherboardThe H370 chipset used on the ASRock H370 Pro4 is ideal for 8th generation Intel processors (Coffee Lake) and offers a great foundation for a business or gaming PC. Included among the new features in comparison to its immediate predecessors are the native support for up to four USB 3.1 and 3.0 ports, which means that no additional chips need to be used. Furthermore, Intel Optane, SATA RAID (0, 1, 5, 10) and up to two ultra fast PCIe M.2 SSDs are also supported.
The Features of the ASRock H370 Pro4 at a Glance:
- 2× PCIe (3.0) x16 (x16/x4) & 3× PCIe x1
- 1× USB 3.1 Type A & Type C
- Total of 6× USB 3.0 and 5× USB 2.0 (internal & external)
- 2× M.2 (PCIe 3.0 x4) / 6× SATA 6G
- Supports max. 64 GB DDR4-RAM at 2.666 MHz
- 10 phase power delivery for stable operation
The ASRock H370 Pro4 in DetailThe ASRock H370 Pro4 ATX motherboard for 8000-series processors offers a total of two PCIe x16 slots, of which one is connected to the chipset via 16 full lanes while the other uses four. The board supports AMD's CrossFire technology and offers the option of installing multiple graphics cards. For additional upgrade and expansion cards, the board comes with three PCIe x1 slots.
Up to 64 GB of RAM can be installed in the four DIMM slots for DDR4-RAM in fast Dual-Channel mode. RAM modules up to a frequency of 2.666 MHz are supported by Coffee Lake CPUs. The motherboard also offers two M.2 slots which respectively utilise four PCIe 3.0 lanes to connect to the chipset and support ultra fast NVMe SSDs. The NVMe protocol enables a data transfer rate of almost 4 GB/s. This makes M.2 PCIe SSDs up to eight times faster than SATA 6G SSDs! Six SATA 6G connectors enable multiple drives like SSDs, HDDs and optical drives to be connected.
The ASRock H370 Pro4 has a USB 3.1 Type C connector which allows devices to be inserted in either orientation as well as a USB 3.1 Type A port. USB 3.1 ports are up to twice as fast as traditional USB 3.0 ports, reaching maximum speeds of 10 Gbit/s! Two USB 3.0- and two USB 2.0 ports allows additional peripherals to be connected. A LAN port is available and this uses the Intel i219V LAN chip. The motherboard provides a Realtek ALC892 audio chip for high quality sound. The range of connectors is rounded out with the addition of DVI-, HDMI and D-Sub connectors for connecting to your monitor.
Internally on the other hand, the motherboard comes with a USB 3.0 pin header and two USB 2.0 headers as well as a TPM header. In addition to a 4-pin header for CPU coolers, the motherboard comes with three 4-pin headers to be used with case fans. The ASRock H370 Pro4 includes several other fantastic features like the 10-phase power delivery to enable incredibly stable long-term operation.
