GeForce GTX 1070Ti Cerberus 8192MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
The arrival of the GeForce 1070 Ti from NVIDIA fills the gap between the GeForce 1070 and the GeForce 1080, supplementing their portfolio of Pascal GPUs to create an interesting alternative for ambitious gamers. From the demands of 4K content or VR gaming, the GeForce 1070 Ti has risen to meet all the demands of modern game engines and, furthermore, performs its task with astonishing efficiency. The GTX 1070 Ti STRIX 8G Gaming from ASUS utilises the DirectCU III cooler design to allow copper heatpipes to be in direct contact with the GPU.
The Features of the ASUS GeForce GTX 1070 Ti STRIX 8G Gaming at a Glance

ASUS GeForce GTX 1070 Ti STRIX 8G Gaming with Aura Sync RGB Lighting
The ASUS GeForce GTX 1070 Ti STRIX 8G Gaming comes with a base clock of 1.607 MHz. GPU Boost 3.0 allows this to be increased to a boost clock of 1.683 MHz. The GDDR5 memory is clocked at 2.002 MHz (8.008 MHz effective) MHz. The DirectCU III cooler design to allow copper heatpipes to be in direct contact with the GPU. The waste heat transferred into the aluminium fins is exhausted by means of three fans.
Should the GPU not be functioning under full load and require less cooling, the fans are turned down or even switched off completely. This enables the quietest possible operation of the graphics card. Two 4-pin fan connectors can be connected to up to two PWM case fans, this allows the speed of the PWM case fans to be tuned according to the temperature of the GPU. Since the GPU generally produces more heat while gaming than the CPU, this solution can result in improved case cooling.
The grey-black cooler shroud and RGB-LED lighting leaves a lasting impression, and the backlit Strix logo on the backplate only adds to it. The lighting can also be controlled via the "Aura" lighting app, and is usable on various ASUS motherboards. Some of these motherboards also offer connectors for RGB lighting strips to allow you to colour coordinate your graphics card with your motherboard as well.
ASUS offers on their website tools like GPU Tweak II to allow you to overclock the ASUS GeForce GTX 1070 Ti STRIX 8G Gaming. In order to reach the full potential of the card over time, drivers should be downloaded from the NVIDIA or ASUS websites at regular intervals.
GeForce GTX 1070 Ti: Gaming Power for VR and 4K!
The 8 GB VRAM of the GeForce GTX 1070 Ti is connected via the 256-Bit memory interface to the GPU and the GP104 graphics chip provides 2.432 CUDA cores, 152 Texture Units and 64 ROPs. The computational power amounts to 7,8 TFLOPS. This allows the GeForce GTX 1070 Ti to put the high-performance segment in a new light.
The GTX 1070 Ti series of graphics cards supports DirectX 12 as well as current gaming technologies including NVIDIA Gameworks, Warp, Stereo X, VR Audio, PhysX and SMP (Simultaneous Multi-Projection). The last of which is supported in Version 4.0 and offers significant advantages for users of VR, curved displays and multi-display setups.
SMP 4.0 allows a total of 16 Viewports and 2 Viewports to be rendered in a single pass. Using multiple Viewports allows the picture to be rendered using a lower number of calculated pixels, massively improving performance in VR applications.
The GeForce GTX 1070 Ti offers connectivity for displaying 4K-/Ultra HD resolutions at 60 Hertz via three DisplayPort 1.4- and one HDMI 2.0b port, the last of which offers HDCP 2.2 and is capable of sending and receiving protected content (4K Blu-Rays/4K Streams). Alternatively the GTX 1070 Ti also possesses a DVI-D (Dual-Link) output.
