Badass GPU with 144hz gaming screen! :D

Awesome card, use it with 144hz gaming screen on ultra max settings for all games i have.
i'm actually in the process of getting another 1.
extremely quit and rarely spins up when playing battlefield 4 at ultra max settings.

Absolute Monster

Bought this from Amazon at Xmas (It was cheaper there at the time) and I honestly was not expecting what I got. This thing is crazy good.

I upgraded from a GTX 650 and the difference is unbelievable (though I kinda expected that). Overclocked using ASUS GPU Tweak to 1150Mhz and it is currently idling at 29 degrees Celsius. After playing a HEAVILY modded Fallout: New Vegas for a few hours (those of you who play it and use an ENB will know that performance sucks) the temperature didn't exceed 60 degrees. BF4 yielded the same results.

I have it paired with a 3770k (4.4Ghz) and 16gb of GeiL Black Dragon RAM (1866Mhz) and it's whisper quiet in my HAF 912. It's annihilated every game I've thrown at it and I imagine it will continue to do so for a WHILE. An amazing card for the price I got it for (

Amazingly performance for a reasonable p

I bought 2 of these together to build my new system. I managed to install them reasonably easily although they do need a good amount of power, so I bought a Corsair AX 1200w platinum, which seems to provide enough power. This build can handle anything I throw at it. I have an ASUS VG278HR 3D monitor (1920 x 1080 @ 144 Hz), and a Dell Ultrasharp U3014 (2560 x 1600 @ 75 Hz). Both run amazingly well, and I can alt+tab between even the most demanding application to work on emails or anything in the background without problem.

Every driver release seems to bring a huge improvement on performance, so the card hasn't even reached its full potential limit yet. I don't normally go in for all that vain self-admiration stuff that a lot of people do when buying new things, but I tell all my friends and co-workers about these beauties. I cannot recommend them highly enough. They run a little hot but the fans do a great job of cooling them. They also have a deep profile so I don't think triple-SLI is going to be an option yet. Still - this is a fantastic gaming or professional graphics card.

I got this to replace my reference 480, and the difference in night and day. I did several benchmarks with the 480 before I swapped it out, and the frame rates have pretty much doubled with this thing across the board.

This is all with an i7 930 at 3.5 GHz. Soon to come is my new i5 5670.

This is just a small example of the tests I did when fitting the 780.

Now on to the temps.

As we all know, the 480 was a hot card, almost always running at around up 92 sometimes. After a good clean of my 480 it then ran at around 85. My 480 used to idle at 75.

The 780 has yet to go over 80. Checking MSI Afterburner after a gaming session will show the card pretty much maxes out at 79 degrees, and never go over. And those temps are with it overclocked. This new 780 is currently idling at 33 with the default fan profile. The other night it got to 29 !!!!

The 480 was pretty loud, there's no hiding it. During gaming I always had to turn the game volume up a little to compensate for the noise of the fan.

With the cooler on this 780 its like night and day. Its SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much quieter it's unreal. Also, the fan speed ramps up and down in a much smoother way, so changes in speed are less noticeable. That being said, my CPU fan makes more noise than the GPU.

I'm very happy with this card, very happy indeed. And this is coming from someone who got it around 3 weeks ago at
