Works with X79-UP4

Currently using this paired with a Samsung SM951 512GB NVMe M.2 as my boot drive in a Gigabyte X79-UP4 and i7 3930K.
A couple of simple changes in the bios is all that's needed.
After installing the driver from the Samsung website CrystalDiskMark reported Seq Q42T1 Reads of 2362MB/s and 1529MB/s writes.
Overall very happy indeed.

Bought this ASUS GEN 3 X4 mini adapter to run my Samsung XP941 M.2 PCI-e SSD in a Gen 2 X4 pci slot on my z97 m/b. SSD had previously been limited speedwise being in a X2 M.2 slot but now running at full speed.

Cant use the GEN 3 pci slots for the Asus adapter as occupied by graphics cards in SLI. The GEN 3 950 Pro will have to sit in its box for a little while longer.

No problems with setup at all, just plugged it in and XP941 was recognised with the same drive letter as previous (Have it set as a secondary drive)

very good

bought one of these to go with a samsung 950 pro and reaching speeds of 2300mbs read and write is 959 so really cannot knock this as im well chuffed thanks ocuk .

WOW It just works!

Paired this with a Samsung SM951 512GB NVMe M.2.. Speeds on my Motherboard's M2 slot weren't cutting it (known that the slot didn't have full bandwidth), but this expansion card immediately showed the claimed 2000+ MB/s read speeds. Even better no added software, drivers etc needed. The PC just realised it was there and booted straight away.
