Great for me

Unsure why someone else is slating this device.

I was previously using powerline adapters but they are old and struggling to match the speed of my broadband these days. I was for a while using a small USB wifi adapter designed for a Raspberry Pi which works but again is poor in only showing 20MB with online speed checkers. A ping to my router would also always be 20ms or higher.
Switching to this PCI card and to a 5GHz wireless signal I am now downloading at my broadbands full 50MB. Pings to my router are also now less than 1ms.

Personally this card works great for me. There's a big warning when opening the box to install the drivers before the card. I've done this and it worked fine. I am a little concerned though how much of a issue this will be when I wipe Windows 8.1 to install 10 in the future.

Why does OcUK stock this?

This is literally the worst network adapter I've ever had the misfortune to use. Do yourself a favour and buy the TP-Link or a USB adapter instead.

First off, who makes hardware these days that cannot be installed without first installing the drivers? What year is this? 1997? Secondly, even if you do follow those instructions and install the drivers first, you better not have been wanting to use this with a 5GHz network because it's useless for that - no range whatsoever (My

Very good

Brought this to replace a USB adapter that I was using that was only compatible with my 2.4GHz fibre and what a difference!

Now getting download speeds of 45Gb/s due to the dual band function. Just a note, install the driver from the Asus website FIRST, before you install, as I got lots of blue screens before I bothered reading the installation instructions!

Very good product, 9/10
