Prime H370-Plus Intel H370 (Socket 1151) DDR4 ATX Motherboard
The H370 chipset used on the ASUS PRIME H370-Plus is designed for eight-gen Intel processors (Coffee Lake) and offer a great foundation for high-powered business and gaming PCs. Among the new features available in comparison to its predecessors are native support for up to four USB 3.1 and 3.0 ports. This means that no add-on chips have to be used. Furthermore Intel Optane, SATA RAID (0, 1, 5, 10) and up to two ultra-fast PCIe M.2 SSDs are supported.

The ASUS PRIME H370-Plus in Detail
The ASUS PRIME H370-Plus Micro-ATX motherboard for Intel 8000- series processor offers a total of two PCIe x16 slots, one of which has 16 full lanes connecting it to the chipset, while the other uses four. The board supports AMD's CrossFire technology and offers the possibility of installing multiple graphics cards at once. The board provides two PCIe x1 slots for upgrades and expansion cards.
Up to 64 GB of DDR4 RAM can be installed in the four DIMM slots in fast Dual-Channel Mode. RAM modules up to a frequency of 2.666 MHz are supported by Coffee Lake CPUs. The motherboard also offers an M.2 slot which is connected to the chipset via four PCIe 3.0 lanes and supports extremely fast NVMe SSDs. The NVMe protocol enables data transfer rates of almost 4 GB/s. This makes M.2 PCIe SSDs up to eight times faster than SATA 6G SSDs! Six SATA 6G ports make it possible to connect additional drives like SSDs, HDDs and optical drives.
The I/O panel of the ASUS PRIME H370-Plus comes with a USB 3.1 Type C port which is slimmer and allows USB devices to be inserted in either orientation, as well as two USB 3.1 Type A ports. USB 3.1 ports are capable of speeds of up to 10 Gbit/s and are twice as fast as regular USB 3.0 ports! Two USB 3.0- and two USB 2.0 ports allow for additional peripheral devices to be connected. The I/O panel of course offers audio outputs for the onboard sound as well as a LAN jack. The range of external connectors is rounded off with the addition of DVI-, HDMI- and D-Sub ports to enable output from the processor's integrated graphics units.
Internally the motherboard has a USB 3.0 header and two USB 2.0 headers along with a TPM header. A 4-pin header is available for CPU coolers.
