(from 1 customer reviews)Good combination for workstation/video editing
I bought this as an upgrade for my 6-year old 2600k + Asus P8Z68 mobo. Having read reports of bricking and failed memory settings, I was initially worried. The mobo arrived with the 0502 BIOS and worked perfectly out of the box. I set the Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB (2x16) 2666MHz memory to 2666 by clicking on the DOCP setting in the BIOS. Still fine. Upgraded the BIOS to 0504 using USB. Since then the combination has been stable with no problems (this is a week after assembly). I like the Q-fan options, which permits very good cooling with little noise. Processor speed is 3300, which is acceptable. So no bricking, no overheating, and video rendering is quick. The ability to have an M.2 Samsung 960 evo has made booting very quick, and windows 10 is sprightly. There are plenty of overclocking options in the BIOS, which I may explore when newer BIOS versions are released.
