Radeon RX 570 Expedition OC 4096MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
The DirectCU III cooler design from ASUS keeps the copper heatpipes in direct contact with the GPU. The heat is transferred away from the GPU by means of aluminium-finned heatsinks, and the heat is exhausted using two fans. If the GPU is not under full load and requires less cooling, the fans decrease their speed or even switch off completely. This enables the quietest possible operation of the graphics card. ASUS also installs two durable fans with dual bearings that are IPX5-certified against dust, this makes the card extremely durable and capable of maintaining excellent airflow even under challenging conditions.

The AMD Radeon RX 570 (4 GB) in DetailThe Radeon RX 570 is AMD's premium HD gaming graphics card from the RX 500 graphics card series and is especially attractive for price-conscious gamers or owners of FreeSync monitors. The Polaris 20 graphics chip utilised in the RX 570 series is a "refresh" of the Polaris 10 architecture used in the RX 470 and offers the same number of shaders as its predecessor, 2.048 to be specific. Thanks to optimisations in the manufacturing process the Radeon RX 570 brings higher maximum boost clocks than its equivalents in the RX 400 series.
Based on AMD's fourth-gen GCN architecture and manufactured in the 14 nm FinFET-LPP process, the Radeon RX 570 also has a very low TDP of just 120 Watt. This has been made possible through huge technological leaps in control-, power saving and clock-rate technologies, and the contrast in power usage between this card and its preceding models such as the Radeon R9 390 (250 Watt TDP) makes for a noticeable improvement.
The 4th-gen Graphics Core Next architecture (GCN 1.3) introduces features such as a command processor, a geometry processor, new multimedia cores, an optimised display engine as well as an improved memory controller. Some of the supported technologies include Async Compute, Vulkan, DirectX 12 and AMD's FreeSync technology.
Monitors can be connected to the graphics card via DVI-D, Display-Port or HDMI. EyeFinity technology enables up to four monitors to be connected in a multi-display setup. The HDMI connector utilises HDMI 2.0b to allow playback of 4K/UHD resolution multimedia at 60 Hz and offers HDCP 2.2 for sending and receiving encrypted content.
In order for the card to reach its maximum potential, new drivers should be downloaded and installed at regular intervals from the AMD or ASUS websites.
