Radeon RX 580 Strix TOP OC 8192MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card

The ASUS Radeon RX 580 STRIX T8G Gaming with semi-passive Strix cooler reaches a base clock of 1.411 MHz, which can be boosted up to 1.431 MHz. The 8 GB of GDDR5 VRAM is clocked at 4.000 MHz (8.000 MHz effective) and is connected to the GPU via the 256-Bit memory interface. An 8-Pin power connector keeps the 29,8 cm long graphics card supplied with power and a power supply capable of delivering 500 Watts is recommended.

The DirectCU III cooler design from ASUS keeps the copper heatpipes in direct contact with the GPU. The heat is transferred away from the GPU by means of aluminium-finned heatsinks, and the heat is exhausted using two fans. If the GPU is not under full load and requires less cooling, the fans decrease their speed or even switch off completely. This enables the quietest possible operation of the graphics card, and two 4-pin fan connectors are able to support up to two PWM case fans connected directly to the graphics card. This allows the rotational speed of the PWM case fans to be adjusted in accordance with the needs of the graphics card. Since it the graphics card generally produces more heat when gaming than the CPU, this affords the case superior airflow and cooling.

The Features of the ASUS Radeon RX 580 STRIX T8G Gaming:

  • Semi-passive STRIX triple-fan cooler
  • RGB-LED lighting
  • GPU base clock 1.411 MHz
  • Boost clock max 1.431 MHz
  • Memory frequency: 4.000 MHz (8.000 MHz effective)
  • 1× 8-Pin power connector
  • VR Ready

The AMD Radeon RX 580 in Detail

The Polaris graphics chips of the Radeon RX 500 series are manufactured using the new optimised 14 nm FinFET-LPP process, which allows the performance in comparison to the RX 400 series to be increased. With 2.304 Shader Units, the same number as that of the Radeon RX 480, the Radeon RX 580 still delivers almost 10 percent more computational power in comparison to its direct predecessor. The reason for this performance increase lies in the process optimisations that have enabled increased boost clock speeds.

The Polaris 20 chip used in the Radeon RX 580 is similar to the Polaris 10 with the exception of the boost clock speeds, and it profits from the 4th gen Graphics Core Next architecture (GCN 1.3). Some of the innovative features within the Polaris architecture include, among other things, a new command processor, a geometry processor, new multimedia cores, an optimised display engine as well as an improved memory controller. Other supported technologies include Async Computer, Vulkan, DirectX 12 and AMD's FreeSync technology.

The Radeon RX 500 series relies on the same control-, power saving- and clock-rate technologies used in the RX 400 series, correspondingly and due to process optimisations the RX 580 is capable of a markedly reduced TDP of just 150 Watts. Monitors can be connected to the graphics card through DisplayPort, HDMI or DVI-D, and EyeFinity technology allows up to four monitors to be connected in a multi-display setup. The HDMI 2.0b port carries 4K/UHD-resolution signals at 60 Hertz and provides HDCP 2.2 compatibility for sending and receiving encrypted signals (4K streaming, 4K Blu-Rays).

In order for the card to reach its maximum potential, new drivers should be downloaded and installed at regular intervals from the AMD or the manufacturer's websites.

ethereum best buy

Is a very good video card for ethereum mining, with a modified bios I have achieved constant hashpower 29.1, 30 cm plates are very large, and from the cooling point of view are relatively good ... With Afterburning MSI set to fans 60-65% Temperature somewhere around 54 degrees celsius ....
