There are also numerous technical innovations, enhancements and an array of storage solutions. For instance, there are one PCIe x16 slots and a further PCIe x1 slots. It has two M.2 slots capable of running ultra fast NVMe-M.2 SSDs, resulting in a data transfer rate of nearly 4 GB/s. This makes M.2 PCIe SSDs up to eight times faster than SATA 6G SSDs.

There are four SATA 6G connectors for 3.5"- or 2.5" hard drives and -SSDs (incl. RAID support). Up to 64GB of RAM can be added across four DIMM slots.

The board offers excellent options for connecting external peripherals. The motherboard comes with an I/O panel boasting an array of the very latest and greatest connectivity standards including five USB 3.1 (3x Type-A, 1x Type-C / 1x Header), eight USB 3.0 and six USB 2.0 ports (internal & external).

Video is displayed via an HDMI or DisplayPort 1.2 while Realtek S1220A allows for excellent sound output

Excellent micro board

Really fast, stable and attractive looking little micro motherboard. Runs flawlessly on default bios.

It has all the tweaking options of the most advanced ATX rog boards for the most savvy of enthusiasts to tinker with.

Fits my my Noctua NH-U12A cpu cooler with literally 2 or 3mm between it and my 32GB G.Skill Trident Z 3600Mhz rgb RAM.

Runs at the 3600Mhz speeds without an issue. Not tried higher. But since this board is a micro one, the trace paths are better designed and closer together allowing this board to hit memory speeds a lot of bigger Z390 boards can not.

Pros to consider.

1. Very powerful and fast board for a micro board. Beats bigger boards in performance tests.

2. Good integrated hdmi graphics and audio to fall back on.

3. Supports ultra fast faster than most boards support, DDR4 memory upto 4700MHz.

4. Unique double stacked memory support. Although board only has two slots, supports 32GBDC per dimm.

5. Supports Intel Optane memory for those with slower mechanical hard drives to speed them up.

3. M.2 X 2. You get a generous two M.2 Nvme slots for two extra easy fitting ssd drives. Less cable clutter. No power and data cables to worry about.

4. All the integrated features and software you get on the bigger boards comes with this board too. Its feature rich.

Their are a few cons to consider.

1. For RGB heads out ther, this board has older 3 pin RGB not the 4 pin ARGB. So if you want to sync everything up through asus software, you'll need a seperate argb controller. So beware of this. It will be more difficult to setup.

2. The RGB Aura sync is older version, not quite bright enough are the LEDS. So could be brighter really. But still bright enough in a really dark room.

3. Expansion. Not good. Some micro boards in general can accomodate more expansion cards.

4. Not for PCIe RAID. Not recommended if you need micro pc with pci raid controller as its only PCIe X1. You need at least a X4 slot for the latest PCIe gen 3 X4 raid controllers. Maybe ok for PCIe sound cards.

5. NOT SLI NVLINK compatible.

Well my overall view and conclusion. The board is expensive but honestly is great for a micro gaming pc.
