Covering all the Essentials of Reliability
The key emphasis for TUF Series motherboards lies in enabling prolonged use. The SABERTOOTH X58 can keep going round the clock with no pause thanks to its meticulous thermal design, which means heat and stress are not obstacles. This new thermal design revolves around CeraM!X Heatsink Coating Technology, using revolutionary ceramic application on vital motherboard surfaces and components to ensure unrivalled heat resistance and dissipation. Thus, it is the perfect choice for server functionality and extreme, steady reliability. CeraM!X application has never been done on a motherboard before the ASUS TUF Series entered service.

Reliability Tested to Military Grade
The SABERTOOTH X58 from ASUS uses heavy duty materials and parts to ensure truly unmatched capabilities in terms of stability, reliability, endurance, and value.
The chokes, solid state capacitors and MOSFETs have all been tested under the most arduous of conditions and harsh environments based on military standards, providing users with a proven heavy duty solution.

TUF Series motherboards are ruggedized from the ground up, so they can handle more than just long-haul usage and heat. They are also tested to server-grade standards and can stand up to humidity and ambient temperatures to an exponentially larger extent than normal motherboards. As a consequence, they are long-life products users can install with complete confidence.

Being strong does not mean TUF Series motherboards compromise added features. The SABERTOOTH X58 ships with new data transfer standards USB 3.0 and SATA 6GB/s, so it offers some of the latest innovations in addition to superior strength. It is a complete package of guaranteed reliability and compatibility.

Very Good...

Got it today installed it, two problems the faecplate was quite annouying when having to attach the motherboard to.. due to to having some sort of foam to stop vibration or soming or other, secondly the ethernet port is not working it properly. But apart from that everything atm is working cool..

Asus X58 Sabertooth

Love the board - thought I was going to get arrested passing the barracks as its made from military grade components... but they let me off, as they could see I was wide eyed ready to install my machine and fire up to a new world of speed. It complements the i7 and SSD so well. Runs cool and keeps delivering. The onboard sound seems strong will not reinstall my little Xonar card as sound tests prove not a huge increase in performance.

9 Star If there was One

Great motherboard.
Great memory clocker aswell no issues with 4000+ Uncore

See for yourself.

TUF does mean what it says on the tin very very stable.

Great! but..

Im still going to give this 5 stars since i know my gripe is a rare one. All other aspects of this mobo are pretty much fantastic for the price. OC'ing is as easy as any ASUS mobo giving a stable 4.2ghz on a i7950 well below its max rated voltage.

Memory profiles worked like a dream with corsair dominatorGT 2000C8.

I do from time to time play an old game on my windows xp dual boot. This fps is highly sensitive to ping. On my old P45 mobo i would get 133ms ping to a server in the states, on this one i get between 166-200ms on the same server at the same time. Though this could be the time of year, so overall still 5 star!

good mobo

i was first looking at the rampage series, but this caught my eye. yes it has one less pci-e slot but who needs three graphics cards. for the price and performance i dont think there is any better choice for an i7 out there. it also looks great, i only wish my case had a side panel in it.

sabertooth 24gb

My first ever i7 build so i thort i would buy 2 packs of 12gb g.skill memory and a sabertooth x58 , i7 950 all on impulse ......then the horror stories poured in , cant read memory , missing memory etc ...... All went together easy , recognised all 24gb immediately and as i type this memtest 4.00 is at 34% , all on detected settings ...... marvellous.

Ace mobo

This is a great board, worked straight out the box with no problems. Teamed it with 6 gig Crucial Ballistix 1600 memory and 920 DO cpu. Running at an easy 3.6 overclock and rock stable. Quality board and bargain at the price.......and I love the colour scheme lol

Great Mobo

I sold my AMD rig and decided to go with an intel build and i wasn't wrong. I see a huge improvement in everything i do form install windows to just browsing and opening applications. Great Mobo no issues just beware if you going Crossfire that their isn't much space for huge graphics cards

This bad boy will last me for another 5 years.

i7 950, Asus Sabertooth x58, Crucial 6GB 1600, XFX 5870, Prolimatech Mega, x64 Win7

used the sabertooth for my 2nd custom build. what can i say? dropped an i7 950, 6gb viper ram, gtx470 and a c300 ssd using the sata3. It posted first time and was ready to install Win7. Didnt have any problems and the way things are going i dont think i will with this board.

Asus For Pro Users

firstly this is a class motherboard, looks good, and it even has ram ok check just to see if your ram is compatible or faulty, the x8 pci slot is in a bad place , where i place the my 5870 in the first x16 gfx slot it covers the x8 pci slot for my sound card, but i sorted that buy using the 2nd x16 gfx slot for ati 5870 as it takes 2 slots, and put my xi fi sound card above it, fits nicely, with all that aside, the temps on the mobo are 24oc on bootup and on full load 35oc, its so nice and cool, and the bios bootup is instant, loading into windows is even faster than my p6t v2 deuluxe i had, auto oc and tuning, this is a real deal, perfect for any serious pc builder , id give it 10/10 personally, top job asus well done, best board i ve had to date yet nice one overclockers

Motherboard is really nicely made build quality as good as the Rampage series, the military look is a fresh new idea that makes a change from the usual bright blue's, purples and greens. Has all the features you can think off except for 3 way sli but for the money you just can't fault it!! Only thing that annoys me is that no matter what GTC460 you buy if you SLI the one underneath allways runs too hot! Not a fault of the board as there are non that space out the boards for 3 pci-e apart apart from Asus's Rampage 3 which is twice the cost. Nvidia really need to work on cooling there stuff down for SLI as with this board and GTX460's being so cheap it's going to be a popular combo. Make sure you SLI in a very well ventilated case and choose which GTX460's you buy wisely, Asus GTX460's run way too hot in SLI and the fans can't cope hit over 90 degrees which has killed 3 of them in a row. Msi Hawk with Fozr2 hit's 80 degrees and just about copes.
