(from 5 customer reviews)perfect for gaming!
I got this motherboard and I couldn't be more happy, I've got 16gb of memory and a GTX 980 fitted with the Intel core i7 5820k is just perfect for gaming.
very happy with this product!
Almost perfect.
The 5820K is perfect for the price. Enough said.
The only issue I have is DPC latency when reading / writing to an SSD is all over the place! It hasn't caused many, if any, issues but it is concerning that it does spike to 2000-3000uS. Especially considering the price!
I will update this review once ASUS fixes the BIOS and this is no longer an issue.
Brilliant Service
I bought this bundle and 16Gbyte Hyperx memory, and it wouldn't post. Overclockers picked it up and had a replacement in my hands in four working days. Brilliant service.
I'm using Corsair 80i watercooling, and the whole system is so quiet I can hardly tell it is running. I do a lot of rendering, 6 cores going flat out, and it is still cool and quiet. I tried using the Asus easy overclock thing in the bios (a very mild overclock to 4.1 GHz but it wouldn't boot and I had to reset CMOS using the little switch on the motherboard. I suspect the bios may need an upgrade, but I'm not willing to try this just yet.
This PC if fantastic.
Everything has just gone well putting all this together. I also bought other things like the RAM which was Corsair Vengeance 16GB 2666Mhz and got a Corsair Hyrdro 105 CPU Cooler.
It's been so good honestly. I wanted to make a big jump after consideration over what should I go for. I still think I could of waited as these products haven't been out that long and I know my mates have all said that, but even then they think it's sweet and I'm really pleased.
The Temperature is main thing the surprised me the most. At idle I've always seen it mainly at 23 degrees and I've hardly noticed it pass 50 or even 40 for that matter. Last time I checked after just coming off a game it was around 35.
I intend on moving to a GTX 970 in future as I currently have a GTX 770 inside. I know that seems a bit weak considering all the hardware I've bought, but I've not been able to afford it all at once! Can't wait to just get gaming.
I am a happy gamer!
