(from 3 customer reviews)Great!
I was getting coil whine in the headphones with a pci card in my pc, OC replaced it and it was still the same so i thought i would try this, its a great little usb sound card that sounds great with my razer kraken pro v2 heaphones and the dolby home theater 4 and xonar u7 software is good for customising the sound, i have this on top of my pc case all the time and there is no coil whine or anything.
Great Sound. Easy to use.
Absolutely the best music from a Computer I've ever heard.
So easy to use:
Plug it into an unused USB socket, preferably USB 2.0 or above. Comes with USB A to B Cable which is what you'll need to use. I bought a better one, but I'm sure the one supplied will suffice.
The Disk that comes with it is a waste, very out of date. Download the Driver from the Asus Website here for Windows 10 (older sound cards are catered for on separate pages):
https://www.asus.com/uk/support/Download/21/2/0/7/7EBx44FlFSC6BImr/45/
Use the v1.6. Run set-up and it'll do some stuff and ask you to Reboot. Once you're back, Audio Center and Dolby Home Theater 4 will be there waiting...then you can play with the settings for a while. :)
Once you've made your set-up choices, the 2 Programs can be shut and the sound's sorted. You might need to reload them in future to switch from Music to Game Settings, for example.
All very simple. :)
Great External Sound Card.
Just bought this to go with some AKG K612 pro headphones and I am very impressed with the output. Gives a nice clean sound and the Dolby Home Theater GUI is intuitive and effective.
A great solution for if you have no space in your pc or want to remove any worry of EMI.
