The Gigabyte B360M Aorus Gaming 3 in Detail
The Gigabyte B360M Aorus Gaming 3 ATX motherboard comes with two PCIe x16 slots, one of which is connected to the chipset via 16 full lanes and the other with 4. For upgrades and expansion cards the motherboard also has one PCIe x1 slot. Both PCIe 3.0 x16 slots support AMD's CrossFire technology and allows the use of two graphics cards simultaneously.
The M.2 slot is connected via four PCIe 3.0 lanes and supports the NVMe protocol and, in combination with a compatible M.2 SSD, this enables a transfer rate of almost 4 GB/s. That is roughly eight times faster than an SSD connected via SATA 6G! An additional M.2 slot is connected over PCIe 3.0 x2. Additional drives like SSDs, HDDs and optical drives can be installed using one of the six SATA 3.0 connectors. Up to 64 GB of RAM clocked at up to 2.666 MHz can be installed in four DDR4-DIMM slots.
The I/O panel of the Gigabyte B360M Aorus Gaming 3 offers a USB 3.1 port. USB 3.1 ports are twice as fast as earlier USB 3.0 ports with maximum speeds of up to 10 Gbit/s! Additional peripheral devices can be installed via three USB 3.0- and two USB 2.0 ports.
A DVI-, and an HDMI connector enable display output from the processor's integrated GPU and sound is output courtesy of the Realtek ALC892 chip via six 3,5 mm jacks. The internal connectors include, among others, a COM port-, TPM-, a Power LED- and a speaker header, four fan connectors, two USB 2.0- as well as a USB 3.0 header.
The black Gigabyte B360M Aorus Gaming 3 also looks fantastic thanks to the LED lighting. A 5-pin RGBW header is available on the motherboard for connecting additional RGB-LED products.
