Great for old Gigs

Have an old MSI combo motherboard for socket 775 wich supports up to 8GB DDR3 1066 or 1333 OC.

Installed the 2 4GB sticks without configuring the BIOS and it worked right away.

I've OC them to 1333Mhz and it works like charm (cant use 1600 because of MB limitations).

I fully recomend this for old Gigs just plug and play, great compatibility.

Clockable at tight settings

Mine run at 9-9-9-24 at a small undervolt (1.45v) at stock speed. Tried to tighten timings but it wouldnt have it.
Runs up to 1760mhz on stock volts and same timings
At 9-10-9-24 will do 1761+. Much above 1866 a slight overvolt (to 1.555) seems to increase stability on my Haswell setup.

Maxxed out at 1920mhz at 9-10-9-24 at 1.555 volts which is pretty damn good.

Would not budge past 1920 but the law of diminishing returns kicks in pretty hard from about 1900+ on all ram due to the looser timings usually required to run at those higher speeds.

I have read of someone getting 2133 at very loose timings (think it was 12-12-12-30) but the speed gain was literally next to nothing on benchmarks.

What I dont like is the green PCB the edges of which are not covered by the ram coolers. Would look far better with a black PCB to match a lot of the motherboards out there or a cooler that covers the edges (having said that I cannot see my ram behind my massive Phanteks cpu cooler)

Bought one kit and tried it out, one of the dimms seemed faulty, but trying in another PC, both worked fine. Got them ready for a new build but they wouldn't work together, and only worked individually. I bought another kit and tried them out with similar results. Another high speed/capacity kit worked fine however. Looks like i'll be trying again with another type of memory this time.

No issues with this memory

I've been using these sticks of memory for over a year now with no issues at all.
No complaints on any front with these.

Good stuff

I purchased 3 of these kits when on offer for Christmas. This was to make up 2 triple channel kits for my ageing x58 system. All works fine although I have not got them running 1600Mhz yet due to losing all my BIOS setting for my standard overclock and also not sure if the memory controller on my i7 920 will be able to drive all 6 DIMMs at 1600Mhz anyhow, when I get time I will have an experiment. But they are running tight timings, one thing to note on the timings the description says the memory is 9-9-9-27 were as the kits I got were 9-9-9-24 not sure if this is standard now but a small bonus on a good deal. Now got to figure out what I can do with 24GB of memory, going to look at setting up a ramdrive for temp files. One other thing, I know it does not matter once inside a computer case but the picture for this ram does not do it justice, to my eye it they look much better all shinny and smart.

Works perfectly...

Just bought 16GB of this, pulling out a SWEET 7.4 out of 7.9 on Windows 7 x64 performance test...No problems installing it, packaging kept it nicely secure...Not much else I can really say about this RAM, the windows rating says it all really :)
