Have we got your attention? Keep on reading for more details on the AMD Ryzen 8000G and 5000 Series.

AMD Ryzen 8000G Series

Codenamed Pheonix, the AMD Ryzen 8000G Series has been crafted utilising Zen 4 architecture and a 5mn process. The three models in the line-up will all feature on-board Radeon 780M graphics, making them perfect for entry-level or casual gaming PCs that are more than capable of playing the latest games at up to 1080p.

Thanks to RDNA 3 architecture, the on-board graphics chip delivers fast, smooth, and realistic gaming, removing the need for a dedicated GPU. Ideal for those shopping on a restricted budget or looking to create a more energy-efficient system. Alternatively, you can still use this powerful CPU alongside a GPU to maximise your performance in gaming and streaming alike.

The three new CPUs in the AMD Ryzen 8000G Series include:

  • Ryzen 7 8700G
  • Ryzen 5 8600G
  • Ryzen 5 8500G

Ryzen 7 8700G

The top of the line APU in the Ryzen 8000G Series, is the Ryzen 7 8700G. This is AMD’s strongest desktop APU, even with its minimal TDP of only 65W. It has been crafted with Zen 4, featuring a blend of 8 cores and 12 threads, along with the integrated Radeon 780M. All of which combined result in outstanding performance in all your favourite AAA titles at up to 1080p resolutions.

What’s more, integrated into this processor are the latest AMD AI innovations. With both an NPU (Neural Processor Unit) and dedicated AI accelerators, any demand is taken off the CPU and GPU during local AI workloads.

Ryzen 5 8600G

Second in the line-up is the Ryzen 5 8600G. It’s been engineered with 6 cores and 12 threads, the built-in Radeon 780M graphics chip, and boosted clock speeds of 5.0GHz. All of that and the TDP is still only 65W! It’s the perfect APU for those looking for a high-quality and budget friendly option, plus it will come with an AMD Wraith Stealth cooler as standard.

In addition to this, similar to the Ryzen 7 8700G, this APU also features the integrated NPU and AI accelerators to help you dominate any AI tasks.

Ryzen 5 8500G

Last is the Ryzen 5 8500G. What sets this APU apart from the previous two is that whilst it doesn’t include the AI accelerators, it instead harnesses a combination of Zen 4 and Zen 4c cores. Zen 4c is more efficient and smaller, but equal to traditional Zen 4 cores in performance.

This means the Ryzen 5 8500G is more than capable of reaching speeds of up to 5.0GHz and dominating in your favourite games at 1080p resolutions, especially with the onboard Radeon 780M graphics.

All of which you can enjoy at lightning-fast speeds thanks to boosted rates of up to 4.1GHz.

Ryzen 7 5700

Next up, is the Ryzen 7 5700. This low-wattage CPU has been crafted with Zen 3 to include 8 cores and 16 threads. All of which combined results in an optimised performance in both single- and multi-threaded tasks, at a wallet-friendly price point. What’s even better, thanks to the low 65W TDP, this processor doesn’t feature any hefty power demands to help reduce your consumption and energy bills.

Ryzen 5 5600GT

Another APU is hitting the shelves – the Ryzen 5 5600GT. This CPU has been designed with Zen 3 using a blend of 6 cores and 12 threads. You can enjoy fast performance and smooth visuals at up to 4.6GHz boosted speeds in all your favourite games.

Plus, thanks to the integrated graphics chip, you don’t have to spend extra on a dedicated GPU if you don’t have the space in your budget.

Ryzen 5 5500GT

Last, but not least, is the Ryzen 5 5500GT. Similar to the 5600GT, this APU features 6 cores and 12 threads, along with a boosted clock speed of 4.4GHz. That’s only 200MHz lower than the 5600GT.

Combined, all these incredible features deliver strong performance in your games and workloads, whilst the integrated graphics chip heightens your in-game immersion with realistic visuals and smooth frame rates.
