What’s Available
There are four models in the UNI FAN SL-INF 120 line-up. You can opt for a single fan or deck your whole PC case with fans thanks to the triple packs. Both options are available in black or white. The triple pack includes a Lian Li UNI HUB, for connecting up to sixteen fans, whereas the singular fan comes with a split 3-pin and 4-pin cable for connecting directly to your motherboard. Whatever your needs or aesthetic, Lian Li has provided plenty of options.
10% Performance Boost
With second generation innovations comes a 10% boost in performance. The UNI FAN SL-INF 120 utilises a seven-blade design, optimised to function at faster speeds with higher airflow and static pressure. All whilst keeping noise levels to a minimum. At its top speed of 2100RPM, these fans only produce 29 dBA, for whisper quiet operation. Plus, with a maximum static pressure of 2.66mmH2O and airflow of 61.3CFM, these are highly efficient fans to add to your thermal solution.
Even better – they are PWM fans. Set their speeds with Lian Li’s L-Connect 3 software, creating profiles for intense and light workloads alike. A stand-out feature of this software, there is a Start/Stop mode that enables these fans to stop altogether when not needed. When the CPU or GPU is below 50-degrees, you have the option to not run the fans and enjoy zero noise pollution. When in operation, the revolutions per minute range from 200 all the way up to the maximum 2100, for outstanding control.
ARGB Lighting To Infinity
Naturally, the phenomenal aesthetics are an incredible draw for the Lian Li UNI FAN SL-INF 120. Each fan is equipped with 40 ARGB LEDs, embedded in the frame and central hub. There will be no compromising on colour brightness and lighting effects here!
What truly makes the lighting so stellar is the integrated infinity mirrors, once again on the frame and central hub. Each mirror is layered with 0.5mm breaks, to create definition that can be seen at every angle. No matter where you look from, the UNI FAN SL-INF 120 is a geometric beauty. The sharp, angular lines, the 3D-effect mirroring, and the bold hub supports – it’s just *chef’s kiss*.
SL UNI FAN Controller
The Lian Li SL UNI FAN Controller is included with the triple pack fans. This hub features four ports capable of supporting up to four fans each. That’s sixteen fans controlled from this one hub! Rather than having separate headers for power and lighting, the UNI FAN SL-INF 120 has a 7-pin header which is compatible with these four ports. To unify your control, the SL UNI FAN Controller also features two 3-pin ARGB SM ports, designed to support devices such as the Lian Li Galahad AiO pump.
In addition to fan speeds, the L-Connect 3 software is used to control lighting too. There are over 30 effects to choose from and experiment with, to create your own unique display. The frame and hub LEDs can be independently assigned, allowing you to mix and match effects or go for a more unified ambience. The choice is entirely yours.
For the single fans, instead of the hub and 7-pin cable, they come with a traditional split cable with the 3-pin and 4-pin header. This can be directly connected to your motherboard, where you can control them utilising that software instead. If you’re purchasing the single fan to extend the cooling power of the triple pack, then it needs simply to be slotted into place with the daisy-chain connector.
Ease of Use Improvements
In addition to improving performance and aesthetics, the UNI FAN SL-INF 120 has been innovated in ease-of-use terms. First of all, the connector key for daisy-chaining multiple fans is now removable. Simply twist by 90-degrees and pull from the frame. This increased the fan’s compatibility with radiators, as well as facilitating a cleaner finish. Plus, it is just as easy to replace, slot back in and twist to secure.
Secondly, the cable module has been reduced in size and placed centrally on the frame edge. What’s more, it can be orientated in a number of ways, to provide more flexible and efficient cable management according to your build.
