It seems that every manufacturer is going with the bigger is better approach, yet the Phanteks Eclipse G300A is here to demonstrate that bigger isn’t always better.

Boasting a small footprint, the G300A still manages to offer plenty of space for modern hardware. Utilising this case, you’ll be able to build an absolute beast of a gaming PC. In fact, it offers ample space for both a complete cooling solution and a chonky ASUS 4090 Strix GPU!

All About the Space

The Phanteks Eclipse G300A is a mid-tower case, but don’t let that fool you, it has more space than you expect. Starting within the PSU chamber, you can install a power supply measuring up to 220mm long, even with an HDD cage installed. Don’t need that extra storage? Remove the cage and you can go crazy with extra-long power supplies, and space to stuff those cables.

Speaking of cable management, that brings us to the rear of the case, and as always Phanteks has provided outstanding cable management options. With clear cable routing options, that feature plenty of grommets to tie your cables down, and a pair of Velcro straps to secure the main trunk of your cable run. Also located at the back of the case are three positions for SSDs to be mounted and secured with a single thumb screw.

The G300A has a spacious main chamber. Within this large cavity, you’ll be able to mount even the largest GPUs, while still having a radiator and fans mounted at the front of the case. To achieve this, Phanteks made the innovative step to move the mounting bracket outside the chamber, within the mesh front panel. This small update gives the Eclipse G300A an amazing GPU clearance of 390mm!

Maximising Cooling Performance

The Eclipse G300A boasts not only the ability to house the latest top-of-the-line gaming hardware, but also the ability to keep it cool. As such a gaming PC built within the G300A will be able to game for longer with no drop in performance due to overheating.

This chassis features not one but two locations for radiators. At the top of the case, there is space to mount a 240mm radiator alongside two 120mm fans. Phanteks has also ensured that using this option won’t hinder your choice of hardware, as they have left 42mm of clearance for your choice of a RAM kit. At the front of the case, in the offset bracket, you can install a large 360mm radiator combined with three 120mm fans.

Meanwhile, at the back of the case, there is another mounting point for a 120mm fan, for a total fan count of six! This gives you plenty of scope for designing the perfect cooling solution for your gaming hardware. What’s more, the G300A has ample access to cool air, as both the front and top feature large high airflow mesh panels.

The Phanteks Eclipse G300A – One Case, Two Choices

The Phanteks Eclipse G300A comes in a choice of two options, and it’s all about the fans. The first choice is for those who want maximum airflow right out of the box, as it comes equipped with three spectacular D-RGB fans mounted at the front of the chassis.

The second option is for those who already have several fans ready. This case comes with a single D-RGB fan mounted at the rear of the case, ideal for exhausting hot air out of your case, and creating a subtle lighting effect.

Phanteks have included a D-RGB adapter within the G300A, making it easy to control the lighting of your included fans. Simply attach this cable to an RGB header on your motherboard, and you’ll be able to create beautiful unified lighting effects using software such as MSI Mystic Light, Gigabyte RGB Fusion, and ASUS Aura Sync.
