The Cryocube is a fully kitted out, pre-built gaming PC designed by Ian “8Pack” Parry in conjunction with the team of technical experts at Overclockers UK. Overclocked Hardware

The Asus ROG Maximus Formula makes a great foundation for all the next-gen tech. It has DDR5, PCIe 5.0 support, and utilises the Z690 chipset with the LGA 1700 socket. On top of this, the impressive power stage distribution and integrated thermal solution help provide headroom. Thus, making this an outstanding motherboard to overclock on. It’s no mystery why 8Pack picked this motherboard!
Overclocked Trifecta
What makes the Cryocube such a phenomenal machine, is the trifecta of overclocked, premium hardware. Fine-tuned by 8pack himself, the CPU, graphics card, and RAM have all been overclocked to their maximum stable speed. These numbers will truly make your eyes water, that’s how blindingly fast this gaming PC is.
At the heart, this pre-build has an Intel Core i9-12900K processor. From Intel’s twelfth generation Alder Lake, this CPU has 16 cores, an even blend of 8 P- and 8 E-cores, and 24 threads. Thanks to integration with Windows 11 and Thread Director, this processor is primed for gaming, multitasking, and hyper-efficient processing. With the 8Pack touch, it has been boosted to 5.1GHz.
Bringing titan-class graphics to the table, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 GPU is armed with Nvidia’s Ampere technology. Second-gen raytracing, third-gen Tensor cores for shading, and dedicated multiprocessors, this graphics card renders every frame in impeccable detail. This hardware was made for high-end gaming, VR, and digital rendering. Plus, being overclocked it will always provide outstanding performance.
Finally, the TeamGroup Delta memory kit. Dual-channel with 32GB of DDR5 RAM, 8Pack has finely-tuned this hardware up to a mind-blowing 6400MHz. Ice Cold Cooling
With such power comes great thermal output, so highly efficient cooling is a must. Utilising hard tubing and equipment from EK Water Blocks, a complex and comprehensive thermal solution has been installed within the Cryocube. Like its cousin the Hypercube, the Cryocube features the bespoke front panel distro-plate, complete with 8Pack branding. This distro-plate feeds the whole system, circulating EK’s Cryofuel into a second bespoke distro-plate and dedicated waterblock on the graphics card.
Two 360mm radiators vent the excess heat, set beside the motherboard and on the top panel. So incredibly efficient, the radiator fans rarely need to operate at high speeds meaning the Cryocube is as quiet as it is cool. Fan speeds can be monitored and set with the included Aqua Computer Aquero 6 LT fan controller. This cheeky controller even displays real-time updates on the system’s thermal status.

Cool Aesthetic
Completing the Cryocube is its crispy, cool aesthetic. From top to bottom, the Lian Li O11D white chassis is decked out with RGB lighting, including a custom lightbox installed over the entire bottom panel. To best illuminate the white hardware, the default lighting is a clean blend of white and blue. Should you want to evolve this bold look, the lighting can be controlled utilising Asus Aura software. For now, I’m just going to leave a couple pictures here for us to admire.
Do it All
With all this finely tuned hardware under its belt, there is nothing the Cryocube can’t do. 4K gaming? A breeze. 3D digital rendering? Not a problem. Stream, VR, extreme multitasking? That’s the Cryocube flexing its muscles. Do it all. With two WD 2TB NVMe PCIe SSDs, you’re not exactly going to run out of space either. These storage drives have incredible read and write speeds of 5,000MB/s and 4,400MB/s, respectively. The PC may run at frosty temperatures, but you’ll never experience frozen loading screens again!
Make it Yours
Of course, here at Overclockers UK, we like to give you options when it comes to our pred-build gaming PCs. The Cryocube is no exception. If you plan to use it as a workstation PC, then take advantage of the RAM upgrade – bumping capacity up to 64GB. There are three additional storage options for those with more than 4TB of data.
Plus, there are cosmetic options, too. As standard, the Cryofuel is clear, to best reflect the lighting, but this can be changed if you have a better colour in mind. Additionally, the Pexon braided cables can be changed from white and light blue, to the colours that best suit your aesthetic.
It should be noted that changes to hardware and attributes may affect the lead time and performance of the Cryocube, as the original blueprint has been carefully formulated. Generally speaking, the Cryocube has a minimum 36-day lead time, which may be affected by busy periods and 8Pack’s work commitments.
