Gameplay
As you first enter the world of YAZS, you’ll get to explore large open maps, taking on weak and slow zombies as a lone survivor. Throughout the game’s early areas, you very quickly level up, get boosts and find new survivors to help you take on the ever-growing horde.
As the level progresses, the horde evolves, and you start to see new types of enemies: faster zombies sprinting at you, exploding zombies leaving noxious gas, massive tanks that charge at you in lines or witches summoning a cloud of bats to take you down.
Clear your way through horde after horde, making use of a wide variety of weapons and abilities with the choice to focus on your main weapon or the unique abilities for each class. From dropping grenades to electric turrets, there’s a lot of ways to dispatch the horde at your fingertips.
At the core of Yet Another Zombie Survivors is a levelling system allowing you to focus in on different play styles. Whether you to choose to increase your XP gain, or even have your weapons deal more damage, this system adds a genuine feeling of progression to the game.
With a 3D isometric view alongside ragdoll physics YAZS really allows you to appreciate the volume of enemies you are killing. The gameplay, art style, and isometric view all work together to create a modern aesthetic.
