Phenomenal results !!!

Title says it all. Am amazed at the results of this cooler. Bought it to cool my new i7-3960X CPU in my Alienware Aurora R4. Was looking for a 120mm model cooler as this is what came as stock in the AW case and there was no room to add anything larger. Was a little worried as on other sites I'd read that the fans on this cooler were noisy. Chose this cooler as well cause it has 2 x 120mm fans, which I've setup in a "push/pull" configuration.

I'm fairly new to upgrading components on my rig, this was my first CPU cooler I'd attempted. Instructions were VERY simple to follow, and if you find the inclosed leaflet not too helpful you can always watch these videos on CM's website which help alot :

One thing of note is when screwing the fans to the rad. Be VERY careful. I'd read alot of reviews about people saying they'd over tightened the screws and stripped the thread from the rad. I was very careful, was all going well, didn't know what people were complaining about, got a little cocky, over tightened one screw and stripped the thread on the rad !!! Luckily the rest are ok. Also I have the LGA2011 socket on my MOBO. That was nice and easy to install on, and from the looks of the instructions, other Intel sockets are just as simple. AMD sockets however look as though they need a little more care.

Due to the 2 fans the venting system at the back of the case comes a little further back on my rig. But even with my high profile RAM it fits without a problem.

However the 2 best things about this cooler are the noise and the temps. Noise levels are much lower, (even my wife commented on how nice it was to hear my rig running quieter). Even better though are the results this cooler is achieving for me with the i7-3960X CPU. Ideal temps are now 30-35 degrees and under load whilst gaming, (BF3 at Ultra or MoHW at Ultra) CPU temps reach 60 degrees max !!! Same when rendering videos, this cooler just kicks in a little harder and my CPU temps stay nice and cool. The stock cooler provided by AW just couldn't handle the temp that my new CPU was running at.

There is a 240mm version of this cooler as well, and if I had the room in my case I would definitely be getting that. Cannot recommend this cooler highly enough.
