They should have opted for a choke instead of a knob on the back plate for the speed control lol

1155 socket

I've not actually brought this yet but heard nothing but good stuff about them and it looks the business!
I was just wondering if anyone knew whether it fits 1155 socket ...gonna by it on pay day if it does! safe =D

Amazing! even on a OC's 2600K

This is the most ive ever spent on a cooler, but I can honestly say "wow".

I didn't want the hassle of water cooling, but I did want massive performance (something that could handle overclocking), and something that looks decent. This did exactly that.

Installed in my Thermaltake Level 10 GT Case without a problem (around an inch clearance to the door) for those of you that didnt know this is a big case. This cooler needs a lot of headroom so buy accordingly! Twinned with my ASRock extreme4 Gen3 motherboard and i7 2600K I have overclocked it 4.8Ghz and idles @ 29 Degrees (with a 21degree Centigrade ambient) and under load (Prime 95 for 2 hours) max temp on the hottest core was 60 degrees.

I'm very glad I bought this and would highly reccommend it. This fits the 1155socket perfectly, provided you have a roomy case :)

Purchased this cooler for my I7 , when I first fitted it and booted the temps were not any different than my old Corsair Cooler that came with my bundle around 43 idle, so I removed it and looked at the thermal compound and it left a few gaps so I thinned them out and got a even spread and this dropped the temps down another 8 and on the plus side the chip doesn

cool and quiet

It's very quiet and nice looking.I have it installed on Core i7 2600k.Idle temp 38 degrees,on load 51 degrees. For those who don't fits 1155 socket without any problem.

Had one for two years and had the fan bearings fail but it was a doddle to replace with another 120mm fan and it need not even be a coolermaster one.superb engineering.
The reviewer not getting enough cooling is probably using too much thermal paste,a common problem.

Actually works really well!

I was looking online for coolers for my i7 920 which I was thinking about overclocking. Found this and it looked beasty lol so I checked some reviews about it and got one. I have to say it does the job well even though others may think it doesn't for the price. My max temp with this with my i7 920 at 4.01ghz is 63c :D Buy one it works really well. *Beware it may catch on the site fan if your case has one*

It does what it says on the Box

I am running an Intel i7 920 D0 @ 2.667GHz + Turbo feature (2.8GHz) fitted to an Intel DX58SO Mobo fitted in an Antec 1200 case.
Ok, I have gone from an Intel Stock Fan where I was getting around 50

i receieved this great cooler this morning and what can i say well first off its big, and second its fantastic and it does what it says on the box..thanks overclockers for a great service..

This is certainly one of the 'coolest' CPU coolers there is on the market.
My Core i7 @4.0GHz idles around 32'C, and I've seen it as high as 45'C running Crysis maxed out.
Perfect fit into my Antec 1200, as it does not obstruct the possibility of adding the extra fan in the side of the case.

10/10 for Performance.
10/10 for Aesthetics.

had the v8 cooling my 955be in a cosmos s case for 3 months now and its amazing a word to the review that says v8 no good for overclocking not true i can run at 3.8ghz with stress test prime95 all night and not go over 48c also all my parts from overclockers so thanks for a great service

stevie 2009-11-10

Seriously Cool

Replaced the standard AMD CPU cooler with this and have already noticed a 9c drop in temperature.

Fits perfectly in Antec P182 case, no problems installing on Asus Crosshair III motherboard and no loss of RAM slots.

V8 ON a heavy OC

Well I have this CPU Cooler on my 955 with I have OC to 4Ghz. Max temps I have had from stress tests are 53C & Idel 43C. So under fun load for over 2 hours it only went up 10C & as mosted of u know the safe max temp on a 955 is 62C so I have 9c remaining. Wont be taking my chip any high on air cooling as it will be too much. Also this dose fit AM3 and AM2 + sockets. As I have it on an AM2+ . To check for your selfs just go to cooler masters home site. Also I do have this in the nvidia CM 830 limited edtion case, So I have plenty of air flow. Only down side was I had to take out my Side fan panel inside the case which held 4x120mm fans. It was not a problem tho as I modded the case to fit 2x120mm fans at the bottom on the grill and 2 more on the side panel it self so I still have 6 intakes and 4 out takes one being a delta 120mm Focussed Flow Fan. I have seen bad reviews on this cooler but what people forget is it relys on u having a big case and good air flow. So I give it 5!
out of 5.
