Good for the money

Im using this on a 4690k and R9 390, I would consider this to be "the limit" for this PSU (im not one for buying 1500watt psu's to power a single card that draws a couple of hundred watts) It copes fine. the fan comes on when it needs to and the PSU only gets luke warm even after 3 hours of gaming. the semi modular design is a nice touch and the voltages seem stable under load too. I have not given it 10/10 as the quality of it is not as good as my HX850i in my other machine but its half the price so i did not expect it to be. cannot comment on how long it lasts as have only had it a week. the ends of the ATX cable is not in its sheath so shows all the nasty coloured cables but again this is not an issue for most however i did put it in a windowed case and this spoiled the finish. but all in all its very good for the money.

Broke after 2 months

Had this PSU for 2 months and my pc started shutting down with anti surge warnings from a faulty PSU unit. Wouldn't buy Corsair again

Works perfectly

The PSU works perfectly. It doesn't make a sound and the fan seem to be running at lowest settings even when under stress, otherwise I think it turns itself off, at least it feels/sounds that way.

I had no issue with the installation and it was a perfect fit for my BitFenix Prodigy m-itx chassi, especially since it's modular.

Runs a GTX 970, i5 4690k, a few harddrives and fans no problem.

PSU died over 1 month later

Bought this to replace my aging one, was working fine until it decided to no longer power up. Have had to put my old one back in my PC and RMA'd this one back to Corsair. Bit annoyed that I have to cover the postage back to them

Good PSU on a budget

This PSU fits nicely into my antec 300 case, no short cables, and its brilliant price for what it does.

My only niggle is the SATA power cables, are abit delicate. Snap very easily.
