Good... but

Positives:
I've come from the original k70 so I sort of knew what to expect with regards to quality and general feel. For the most part, the K70 MK2 lives up to the solid reputation of it's predecessor. With high quality materials it looks the part and feels great to type on. The software is extremely in depth allowing for a vast, vast degree of functionality to a presently unparalleled level.

Negatives:
The software whilst enabling, is chaotic to use and requires the use of youtube tutorials for it's potential to be realised. Even basic functions are non-intuitive which can be frustrating. It should also be noted that the software does not load properly 50% of the time. It will run on start up, but will not recognise the keyboard. Simply closing the software and re-opening it resolves the issue every time, but it's an unnecessary faff for a £150 keyboard and a drama that did not exist on it's predecessor.
Lastly, this keyboard actually drew blood. If you try to remove the wrist wrest in the same fashion that you'd use on the old k70, which I did, you might well receive two cuts along each index finger from the side of the keyboard. I didn't press particularly firmly, it was completely unexpected. On further inspection the sides don't seem to be razor sharp or anything, but it's something to be aware of.

I actually sent Corsair a message in relation to this. Not to complain, but to inform. They cared so little as to not afford me the curtousy of a simple reply - also something to keep in mind when buying this keyboard.

To conclude, I'll be keeping this keyboard, but I wouldn't buy it again and will not buy any future additions in a hurry.
